Tailgate TV advice

I use a DISH portable satellite antenna to set up a TV at my tailgate. Works well. My son is setting up a tailgate of his own and was wondering if a Verizon MiFI hotspot would work for streaming. I have no idea.

Anybody know if that will work?

That would really be overkill. I connect my TV to the hotspot on my phone.***

It's been 3-4 years since I tried, so maybe things have improved, but streaming with 80K+ doing the same thing doesn't work.

I have been very successful streaming with firestick all over the world using phone for hotspot.

We have streamed a TV through a Verizon phone hotspot and a ATT phone hotspot during tailgates. Both have worked fine. There is a little delay though. During the ND game some of the group watched the game from the tailgate and you could hear the roar of the stadium. Then you would hear the cheering from people that had portable satellites. Then you would see the play occur on our TV. It took a some of the stress out as you always knew when to look at the TV and knew something good was going to happen.
