And it cost his team the game.
End of regulation, play where QB fumbles the ball. Why in the world even bother running a play with the 2 minute warning about to happen ??? They ran a play with 12 seconds left on play clock and 2:08 left in game ??? Let the clock bleed down, you are in the lead and clock is on your side, let it run. Just dumb clock management and handled terribly. QB gets couple MJ utes to rest, the guy played his tail off and was exhausted so any good coach has to realize situation. Situational awareness is paramount, especially to pull an upset and Ga Tech gave that game away. Even without any secondary starters on the field and a QB they could hardly stand by the end if game, they showed how much heart they had.
Coach let them down. Yea yea yea he didn’t fumble but his terrible decision to try and run a play before 2 minute warning is not only questionable but highly incompetent. Sad job on his part, I’d want him gone just for that, but he had more incompetence in store :
Ga Tech coach wanted to kick extra point in 2nd OT which you cannot do. And they wasted a TO where he should have known the rules as a head coach. That guy is in over his head, clueless about rules they are explained to every single person watching so obviously you know the rules, right Coach ?? lol 😂

lol … they took UGA to 8 overtimes with a less talented roster than Clemson while UGA stomped a mud hole in Clemson… I don’t think I’d badmouth their staff too much

8 OT irrelevant. Had opportunity to win in regulation and poor decisions cost them. Moment was too big for him, simple as that.

home field, yet the Dog's maintain their high ranking and the Yellow Jackets are nowhere to be found in the top 25? That in and of itself should disqualify the entire board of the CFB Play-off Committee! That's nonsense! Georgia should drop to 19 and Tech should rise to 18...at the very least!

It was 3rd and 1. 2:11 in the half with 7 seconds on the play clock when the ball was snapped.

Snapped thr ball with more than 10 seconds on the play clock in the second half. Most coaches are terrible with play clock management. If GT runs the play clock down to one or two seconds every play they win.

GT did have some good play calling. Seems in overtime they pulled back the reins, though, except for a couple of times.

Hahaha yeah like the coach not telling his idiot third year QB we only have 16 seconds left and one timeout out if it’s not there throw it away and we’ll get another play!! Or maybe the design was a three yard pass into the middle of the field to a lead footed RB who cannot out run defensive ends??? Klubnik sucks and so does Dabo. Gt scored 42 against UGA we lost by 31. Tech would’ve beat the #### out of us
