Tait had a good outing on Friday night leading his team to a 49-7 victory and improving to 4-1 on the season.
Tait was 12 of 17 for 145 yards with 4 TDs and 1 INT. He did most of his damage with his legs with 6 carries for 126 yds. and 3 TDs, including an 86 yarder.
The regular season is now at the mid-point for Queen Creek. The second half of the schedule is much tougher, and in their last 3 games, they will face (3) undefeated teams, all currently ranked in the Top 8 in the state, (#3, #5 and #8).
My half season impressions are that Tait has been solid, but not spectacular. For me, the difference is the talent around him. He is pretty much carrying the offense with his arm and legs. If he could lead his team to a 3-2 record in the second half of the schedule, given the tough teams they have left, that would be pretty impressive.
He is 1 of 2 QBs who have committed to us from the '26 class. I live near the HS and keep up with him during the season. He will also play baseball for us.
