Tailgating question

Sep 18, 2023, 5:31 PM

What’s up everyone, I’ll be tailgating for the game this weekend over in lot 10. Quick question - what’s the best way to get power & a decent internet connection to a tv?

I am thinking about getting a power inverter for my car battery to supply the power for the tv. For internet, I was either going to hotspot a connection from my phone or use an HDMI adapter from my phone directly to the tv.

What has worked best for y’all?

If you have AT&T mobile the you should be successful streaming. If you have Verizon you will not be.

If you use your car battery then keep up with your charge and run your engine periodically. Car batteries don’t last very long on inverter…deep cycle marine batteries do.

Good info. Unfortunately, I do have Verizon but hopefully someone in our group has AT&T lol. Thank you for the help!

Get a generator. Works like a champ. I stream YouTubetv and works well for the most part. Got a little choppier when the crowd started picking up.

What generator do you recommend?

Honda Generator will do the trick. Car battery will not work for very long.

Personally, I’m a deep cycle marine battery kind of guy.

No noise. No fumes. No gas. Cheaper. Will last all day. Will not bother the people around you.

That said, there’s a gazillion expensive, loud, smelly generators in every lot so get one if you want.
