Plenty of all kinds of gravy on all kinds of stuff. Giblet gravy on a good cornbread dressing would probably head he list.

think Skeeta just about described the perfect breakfast!
I grew up on a farm, and later on in life, my dad acquired an old flat belt driven stone gristmill. If you ever had genuine home ground yellow grits, it would spoil you away from ever wanting tame old white grits again. *Sigh*, you can never truly go home again.

macaroni and cheese is the absolute bomb, especially if the mac dish isn't very creamy. It's a staple when I visit a Lizards Thicket restaurant. DO NOT ATTEMPT this with grandparents.

Oh good topic!

We had a bucket of KFC with their brown gravy and biscuits during our last tailgate. Great stuff.
But, if I had my druthers, I'd go with peppered country (white) gravy over homemade biscuits. My face slaps me silly and begs for another.
Next up, white or brown gravy smothering mashed potatoes.
Last vote, country gravy over country-fried steak.
This last one may not be as practical as the first two during a tailgating party. But for the big rigs, it's possible (we do chairs, small table, picnic basket).
One o' ya'll wanna to pass 'at der gravy? Thank ya, thank ya var much.
(Wife just got back from town. Her vote is gravy [any kind] over mashed potatoes.)

I quit eating the Colonel Sanders KFC when they started buying half grown injured chickens. KFC has the smallest pieces of chicken than anybody else that sells chicken snacks, dinners, buckets or barrels. And the bones are broken with the wings, legs and thighs. KFC has went to the rats as far as I'm concerned!!!

You start with a mess of quail, batter, deep pan fry (has to be cast iron) until they are nice and crispy. Set aside and reduce grease to 1/4 in and keep the grissel. Mix corn starch and hot water to the side, shake well. Put onions in the quail fry grease And brown them down. Add cornstarch water and stir. Salt and pepper if needed. Add your quail to the gravy and cover on low for about an hour. Eat, enjoy, Thank me later

I have a mess of quail in the freezer right now. You reckon it will work with pheasant? I have some of that too.
