No one has talked about "The Glove"

Jan 4, 2017, 5:20 PM [ in reply to this is simply ]

What happened to CW's infamous glove? Now that we know WHERE that glove has been, there may be some need to track that glove's whereabouts.

At the very minimum, CW is going to need a new pair.

However, I'm thinking that "The Glove" may have a place right next to that Fiesta Bowl trophy in the trophy case.

Re: FB Update: Boulware defends Wilkins' inappropriately grabbing OSU player

Jan 4, 2017, 1:48 PM

Seriously what is wrong with some of y'all? You're acting like coot apologist. What Christian did was probably not intended to be sexual assault but it was. This isn't something we want our program to be known for. Christian Wilkins is still my favorite current Clemson player, but man, it should have been him coming out immediately afterwards to say, "Hey I was wrong, I apologize" and that's it.

I'm torn because, yeah, this is textbook sexual assault, and yeah, I also get where Ben and Christian are coming from, but there still needs to be accountability. This was not handled well. At the end of the day, just because it happens on the field everywhere in college football, or football in general, and probably a lot more than people realize doesn't mean we should condone or encourage it. We're Clemson. We're better than that and we need to act like it.

Also what an absolutely stupid distraction and storyline to create before the natty. Hopefully, we don't have to go through what OU fans are with Mixon here commentators making stupid comments about it all game.

Nonconsensual touching in the private area isn't considered sexual assault? Don't get me wrong, it didn't have a sexual intent so I can see where you're coming from but it's still something that should be taken seriously. By not taking it seriously you're the one disrespecting people.

I'm not trying to troll. I'm making a point a lot of you people seem to don't think matters. It's only picking and up steam in the national media.

And we all know if someone did this to Clemson player you'd all be up and arms and calling for him to be suspended just like the people on the Bama boards are.

You rant was hilarious BTW. Not coherent but pretty funny.

2024 student level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If it happened to us we wouldn't still be talking about it.

Jan 5, 2017, 9:38 AM

That's where you're completely wrong. If somebody did this to one of our players I'd be like "###" and pissed off because we just looked stupid getting fingers in a butt on TV and I'd think that was not very classy and I'd be mad. But then it would be over. And I certainly wouldn't be fighting for this sexual assault nonsense. That would have NEVER even crossed my mind. And if the guy apologized and this and that it would be over.

If we had it happen during a BLOWOUT LOSS however I'd probably be more p1ssy about like you and other people are you tend to have thinner skin after getting your butts kicked.

In reality everybody's making a much bigger deal about this than it really is because they are all still p1ssy from the record setting loss and they need something to think about other than the 0 points they put up on the board.

And of course you're being a troll right now. Why deny what you are, if you don't want to admit it then don't do it at all. If you're going to be a troll, you should at least man up to it and own it. You must think we're all stupid and don't see through all this garbage.

Re: Sexual assault? Seriously? Yeah.... SERIOUSLY

Jan 5, 2017, 4:55 PM

Mr. Wilkins is an adult. So is Mr. Boulware. They are not children playing at being adults. Their actions are measured in an adult world. Keep that in mind.

But Mr. Wilkins and Mr. Boulware have a lot of growing up to do. They think there is a special little world that allows committing crimes while on the football field. How immature and confused must your thinking be to believe that the NCAA allows you to "win" by sexually shaming your opponent, by sticking your fingers in other men's anus, by eye-gouging, by assaulting opponents with choke-holds against the rules, by cheating, by groping their ########? This isn't sportsmanship, IT IS ADVANCED, GRADUATE LEVEL-BULLYING... no... well, let's call it what grown-ups call it: criminal behavior.

Is this what you teach your children when they are learning sportsmanship? Of course not. You tell them to play by the rules. So why is groping opposing player’s ######## while they are down appropriate for any NCAA football player? It is clearly outside the rules. Wilkins should be suspended from the team as well as playing in the national championship game. Mr. Wilkins intentionally "four fingered" Mr. Samuels on national television while his teammates held Mr. Samuels down, and admits that he intentionally sex-shamed an opponent. The unwanted groping was very likely a crime under Arizona law. Worse, Mr. Wilkins admits he did it on purpose, according to an interview with ESPN's David Hale: Here is the video:

https://twitter.com/DavidHaleESPN/status/815426238038867968/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

Then he apologized. So Mr. Wilkins, and many others believe an apology for a crime absolves him? Not in MY local police station it doesn't. That's called a confession. Wilkins admits his perverse behavior in a “tweet” as “being silly” and “It’s stuff you do while you’re competing”. Is that true? Is that what the NCAA condones and approves of as mere "silly" stuff its athletes do while competing? Since when is sexually groping ######## a part of the NCAA rules, and not criminal behavior? Its 100% outside the rules, so isn’t it actually just a crime? Wilkins doesn’t even apologize for doing it – he apologizes only because he knows “that’s not a good look” – in other words, he apologizes not because of what he did, but only because it looked bad once he got caught. Typical of anyone snagged by the cops. Typical of anyone engaging in sexual assault: it’s not his fault, he’s not responsible. Like a dorm-room rufie-rapist who was stupid enough to film himself rap-ing an unconscious student, and gosh, nobody would know, but for those pesky video cameras.

Ask yourself honestly: Had he done this to YOUR SON on National TV, would you be OK with it? You, your son, and your whole family would be shamed. How about if 'ol Christian had done this to a female athlete, are you OK with that kind of "silliness"? Or how about silly old Christian fingering an Ohio State cheerleader on college game day, by “grabbing her by the pus-sy” would you be OK with that? Just funny ol' Chris being silly again! It's what you do! Ask the Donald!

What if some tough female athlete had aggressively done this to another female, grabbing her genitalia, would that be OK? Is grabbing a team-mates balls in the shower OK? How about if he's one of the weaker little guys, and you pin him down and rub Atomic Balm on his balls, is that OK? In whose messed-up world is that OK? How many years will it take before we all instantly recognize these acts as non-consensual sexual crimes, sexual abuse, sexual assault, or worse?

Had Mr. Wilkins non-consensually grabbed another man’s ######## while walking across campus, he would be guilty of sexual assault. Had Mr. Wilkins non-consensually grabbed another team-member’s ######## in the locker room, he would likewise be guilty of sexual assault. Take off the uniform and you're subject to the law. But this wasn't a "late hit" or a "clip", it isn't a player making a bad block. It was a deliberate, non-consensual sexual grope of another man's ########. After the whistle. Not part of a play. Nothing to do with football at all. Textbook Sexual abuse. Much like how deliberate choke-holds aren’t part of the game. And they are a great team, but how much is won by being real competitors, and how much is won by sticking fingers in opponent’s azzes and grabbing their ########? Why do they think they need to do this, if they are so good? Or are they just sick?

The scary part of this is that Mr. Wilkins, his team-mate, Mr. Boulware, and the entire Clemson school body apparently condones sexual abuse as well. The entire School is OK with it. The coaching staff is silent, they consent. With a few rare exceptions, all of you on this message board laugh it off, as if these are 6-year-old bullies touching pee-pees, and not adult men groping men’s ########. In fact, Boulware seems to imply that a lot of this silly sexual conduct occurs in Clemson locker rooms, that its been going on for years – and that anybody who doesn’t do it - he shames as being less than a man or a third-stringer, afraid to take a shower with the “real men” – it’s classic “frat-boy” talk – blaming the victims and having no concept of the sexual shaming environment he and his coaches are creating and condoning. It’s the type of “look the other way” atmosphere and out-of-date “masculinity" that brought Joe Paterno to ruin. Clemson's entire athletic program needs to be investigated, and soon.
http://www.tigernet.com/update/player/Boulware-defends-Wilkins-inappropriately-grabbing-OSU-player-25641?ref=recent

Why the silence by the NCAA, the Clemson administration, and the major press? I called the NCAA, the legal department, and they kept disconnecting me. It seems inconceivable that Mr. Wilkins hasn’t been suspended from the team and isn’t banned by the NCAA or the SEC from playing in the National Championship - as Mr. Wilkins is very likely guilty of two class 5 felonies in Arizona. What follows are the rules ADULTS are held to - these men are all ADULTS. Mr. Wilkins is an adult, and contrary to Mr. Boulware, there is no "Secret Code of How Real Manly Football Guys Act" to excuse his behavior. You can try that with the judge, see where it gets you.

Nor is there any rule condoning this in the NCAA rules. And if it's not in the rules, then let's find what rule applies. The NCAA rules don’t over-rule state law. Arizona Criminal Code 13-1401. “Definitions. In this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires: "Sexual contact" means any direct or indirect touching, fondling or manipulating of any part of the ########, anus or female breast by any part of the body…” (i.e., with four fingers of your hand) ...
"Without consent" includes any of the following:
“The victim is coerced by the immediate use … of force against a person…”
“The victim is intentionally deceived as to the nature of the act.”

Note – the law says nothing about it being between a man and a woman - it doesn't matter that this happened between two men - the law still applies!

Think about this one: How many children across American saw Mr. Wilkin’s perverse act? The incident was broadcast nationally during the game, and has been rebroadcast repeatedly on the internet, seen by millions of minors. Is Mr. Wilkins OK with this? This, in itself is very likely a separate crime, a class 5 felony in Arizona. By recklessly committing an act of sexual conduct in public (as well as on National Television), Mr. Wilkins exposed millions of minors to his “silly” non-consensual groping of Mr. Samuel's anus and ########, apparently violating Arizona Criminal Code 13-1403. “Public sexual indecency; public sexual indecency to a minor; classifications. " A person commits public sexual indecency by intentionally or knowingly engaging in any of the following acts, if another person is present, and the defendant is reckless about whether such other person, as a reasonable person, would be offended or alarmed by the act or ...”
“An act of sexual contact.”
“A person commits public sexual indecency to a minor if the person intentionally or knowingly engages in any of the acts listed in subsection A and such person is reckless about whether a minor under the age of fifteen years is present.”

Note – the perp doesn’t have to do it TO a minor, the minor only need be PRESENT. So if you rape or sexually molest someone in front of a minor - you are facing a Class 5 felony charge. Are you getting this? Public sexual indecency is a class 1 misdemeanor. Public sexual indecency to a minor (or in a minor's presence) is a class 5 felony. Isn’t that what Christian Wilkins did? What is he thinking? Certainly not about children watching his silly beefy fingers on television.

SO ANY CHILD WHO HAS WITNESSED THIS CAN CONTACT THE MARICOPA COUNTY PROSECUTOR AND SWEAR OUT A COMPLAINT.

Still think this is all just silly? What other crimes might Mr. Wilkins be accused of?
"13-1404. Sexual abuse; classifications: A person commits sexual abuse by intentionally or knowingly engaging in sexual contact with any person fifteen or more years of age without consent of that person ...
"Sexual abuse is a class 5 felony unless the victim is under fifteen years of age..."

All that matters is that the perpetrator intended to sexually contact the victim - which seems clear from the video – Wilkins first missed, and, not to be deterred, took another shot, while Mr. Samuels was held to the ground by his teammates. Or as his buddy Mr. Boulware says: “he went four fingers deep”. What funny guys. They even have funny cutsie names for their myriad of different sexual assaults. But Sexual abuse is easy to prove, and it seems the video does it:

See STATE V. HOLLE, Opinion of the Court of Appeals, Division Two, 238 Ariz. 218, 358 P.3d 639 (App. 2015) which stated: “Both statutes require "sexual contact" that the defendant "intentionally or knowingly engag[ed] in." A.R.S. §§ 13-1404(A), -1410(A). "Sexual contact" is defined as "any direct or indirect touching, fondling or manipulating of any part of the ########, anus or female breast by any part of the body or by any object or causing a person to engage in such contact." A.R.S. § 13-1401(A)(3). "Intentionally" means "with respect to a result or to conduct described by a statute defining an offense, that a person's objective is to cause that result or to engage in that conduct." A.R.S. § 13-105(10)(a). And "knowingly" means "with respect to conduct or to a circumstance described by a statute defining an offense, that a person is aware or believes that the person's conduct is of that nature or that the circumstance exists. It does not require any knowledge of the unlawfulness of the act or omission." A.R.S. § 13-105(10)(b).

The court in State V. Holle disagreed that the state must prove the element of “motivation of a sexual interest” as a part of its case in prosecution. The court need only prove the person had the objective intent to engage in engaging in sexual contact, which Wilkins seems to have admitted online. His only possible defense is in 13-1407. Defenses… “It is a defense to a prosecution pursuant to section 13-1404 or 13-1410 that the defendant was not motivated by a sexual interest.” But that won’t help Wilkins here. He was motivated in causing sexual contact to Samuels’ ########, not to Samuel’s leg, or arm or hand. He has no defense. He did it on ESPN, didn’t he? We all saw it. And he admitted doing it, didn’t he? It was just part of his ”silliness.”

You want to compete in sports, as an adult? Then compete by the rules. Neither Mr. Wilkins nor Mr. Bolware are tough players or even a great players if they need to cheat to win. These "men" have bodies trained to incredible strength, but minds which are weak and undisciplined. They lack self respect and respect no ethic other than to cheat at any opportunity and use intimidation or any other dirty trick to win, or even just for their own amusement. Far from being virtuous men, these are overgrown "silly" bullying boys, governed by raw impulse and lack of respect for the game as well as their opponents. There is no space for making up your own rule book that allows you, by some f'ed up testosterone-driven imaginary "code", to engage in eye-gouging, choke holds, butt grabs, etc. or, (in this case) to sexually shame your opponents by “going four fingers” into their anus and ########. If you, or Mr. Boulware, think it’s OK, then you are saying "Its OK to do all the crimes you can get away with, even criminal sexual abuse - even though this is somehow illegal in every nook and corner of the State of Arizona - it’s perfectly fine on the football field!"

Why? Because you put on some magic football uniform? No wonder so many football players end up in trouble with the law, and never develop into honorable men. Do you see the flaw in your logic here? It's the classic logic of a sexual perpetrator. "It's everyone else's fault I have to gratify myself - I don't need to seek permission, I take what I want, I grab her titty, I grab his nuts, I stick my finger in his ###, choke a player till I knock him out - because I am powerful, I am protected by my position on the team, I can get away with it... " Isn't that Mr. Boulwares' credo? Impulsive childish bullying, according to his own rules, simply because he can get away with it? Not my hero. What a different person he could be, if he ever became a man, if he ever set standards for himself other than bullying. If he ever gained character.

Character isn’t derived from getting away with cheating when the refs aren’t looking. Character is doing the right thing EVEN IF the refs aren’t looking. But once you start down the path of cheating, how do you ever find your way back? You don’t, so you invent a new morality, one just for you, that excuses any and every bad act, just for you and your gang. Like Ben Boulware’s AND Dabo Swinny’s private Clemson moral code. And think Ben… what does that make you? Isn’t that how criminals think? And every time Mr. Boulware opens his big mouth, the mess just gets deeper and deeper: “We’ve done it all year to mess with players. No one has done it as aggressive as Christian did. We try to be more discreet about it. He grabbed a handful.” Haww haw haw. Mr. Boulware thinks anyone who disapproves of his man-child routine is annoying. They have “never been a locker room and seen the weird stuff.” What exactly is the “weird stuff” you and the Clemson team does in the locker room, Mr. Boulware? Joe Paterno is calling from his grave: “It’s time for an investigation of Benny boy and his whole team, from the tippy top all the way down to the locker room.” What "weird stuff’s" been going on for the past four years?

Finally, let’s discuss implied consent. First off, while a player might impliedly consent to the violent contact of a game, that would be limited to accidental contact to one’s ######## or to the groin during play -kicking in the balls isn't a part of the game. Even if it were, such implied consent clearly ends when the whistle blows the play dead. Mr. Wilkins intentionally fondled Mr. Samuel’s ######## after the ball was dead, so Mr. Samuels could not “impliedly consent” to the sexually abusive contact. It was not a part of the “play,” nor a part of the sport. Imagine a player who attacks and blind-side punches another player after the ball is dead, perhaps to retaliate for a hit – and the punch breaks the players neck and causes paralysis or even death. Such a player could clearly be convicted of assault or manslaughter (or even murder), as it falls outside the realm of the game. It isn’t apart of the play or the game – a player can’t “impliedly consent to battery after the play is dead. Same thing with sexual assault.

And Mr. Wilkins needs to stop being a child in a giant's body. In my opinion, Mr. Wilkins should be prosecuted, he should be suspended for his flagrant personal foul (see below) and his team investigated from top to bottom for it’s outdated 1960’s sexual locker-room behavior. Somebody needs to clean house. Mr. Boulware's admissions of rampant cheating and locker room weirdness might rate him a suspension as well.

And how does Dabo Swinny get a “pass” in all this? It’s time for Swinny to take responsibility and suspend both these players. Swinny, the entire administration and the coaches, the NCAA, the SEC are instead sitting back passively, and if Clemson and its coaching staff ain’t fixing, it, if the NCAA and the SEC aren't fixing it, that means they are actively condoning it.

The SEC conference needs to act as well. NCAA rule 9.6 states: “Rule 9 / Conduct of Players and Others Subject to the Rules FR-101 Foul Not Called ARTICLE 2. “If subsequent review of a game by a conference reveals plays involving flagrant personal fouls that game officials did not call, the conference may impose sanctions prior to the next scheduled game.”

There is nothing silly about it. And there is nowhere to hide.

Re: Sexual assault? Seriously? Yeah.... SERIOUSLY

Jan 5, 2017, 4:56 PM [ in reply to Re: Sexual assault? Seriously? ]

Erudite, eh? Been to college?

I'd welcome your efforts - anyone's efforts - to discuss my points about Mr. Wilkins and the Great Ben Boulward.

Here another one - People from Clemson are selling T-Shirts with the prostrate Ohio State player on the ground, with Mr. Wilkins sexually assaulting him, with his hand in his ########, from above, titled "Grab them by the balls"

So now Clemson (and its fans) are capitalizing on Wilkin's criminal act, and continuing to sex-shame and humiliate the victim, and making money off it.

Remember, your player victimized a defenseless player - How would you feel if that were your son?

Is this who Clemson fans are? All of you? Do any of you have children? Sons? Daughters? Do none of you Clemson fans have one shred of decency left? Can't you see how perverse you all are, sniggering because a grown man in an orange jersey committed a crime when he shoved his fingers into another man's ######## as an act of sexual predatory domination in a football game?

Or are you all too ashamed to answer, or too afraid your sex-criminal won't be allowed in the National Title Game. Because he should be suspended.

Of if you don't think so, then say why not... You all think you're manly, you think your CORRECT, then DISCUSS IT - JUSTIFY IT - let's hear an adult reply with some CRITICAL REASONING applied, something more intelligent than "Geez what a nut job. Get a life."

However, that being said as I stated Saturday night, I hated when this was posted on tnet and exploded because I knew exactly where it was headed. A complete distraction... had it not been for tnet posts I would have never known about it.

I asked then (no response) to 1. Delete the video and posts and 2. Where and who originally posted this? I cringe to think we - tnet- is responsible for doing this to this fine young man.

Someone should tell Boulware to say no comment...let it die...A high profile guy like Boulware talking about it is only going to bring unnecessary attention to it...It was obviously an off-balance hand placement at first which looked like it turned into an awkward check for a loose football under the offensive player...anything more than that should be discouraged...hopefully that's pretty much all it was...
