Swinney shared what he told Beaux Collins after the 69-yard TD and his early strut to the end zone and nearly getting stripped of the ball, and how they addressed it today to the team.
"I told him we're going to celebrate this moment right now and I'm going to rip your head off on Monday. It was really simple and that's what happened. I was disappointed. I was really disappointed. That's not Clemson football. Honestly, they should've thrown a penalty because he started his little celebration deal on about the 10 yard line and it should've been a penalty right there...They should've called that, and should've called one on Antonio Williams too. So, we addressed that today. That's just not acceptable in any form or fashion.
"Unfortunately, instead of everybody talking about your best game as a Clemson Tiger as a true junior and a career day, they're talking about what a stupid play that was. But he's an awesome kid. He owned it. In fact, he came to my office today and wanted to talk to the team about it. I said, 'You're going to get your opportunity. We're going to have a great little meeting on it and we're going to break it down frame-by-frame.' So, it was good."

Didn’t see the shenanigans from Williams, so I guess it was worse than I thought. That position has group has absolutely nothing to brag about. They haven’t produced in several years. It’s down right frustrating. Hopefully, Swinney made an impact, because it hasn’t happened so far with Grisham coaching them up. It fact I would hope Grisham got some fire and brimstone from Swinney yesterday.

this little party. Those turkeys have absolutely sucked for the last 3 years, and have held the team back as much as the QB position. The lack of playmakers has even finally been spoken aloud by virtually all media outlets over the last 3 weeks.
Then, to be prancing around AFTER you lose to Duke, AND with the season essentially lost already, is imbecilic at best. How stupid can you be? That's not an inexperienced attitude, it's an Entitled attitude.
Dabo needs very much to go back and stress again that this current class has yet to WIN ANYTHING, anything at all. Instead, they're trading purely on the accomplishments of those before them. That's a ######### that Danny would have never have allowed for even a second, and I'm surprised that Dabo's response has been limited to just this.
I think the whole DJU debacle has screwed with Dabo's mind a bit.
If it were me, I'd let Collins and Williams practice, just to get the reps. But they'd set all-time Clemson records for running stadium steps before Saturday, and I'd invite Ben Boulware to come personally supervise said slog.

I knew the kid was in trouble as he entered the end zone. Dabo HATES celebrations entering the end zone. Who was it a few years ago that was given a fumble on the one yard line because he purposely dropped the ball as he did his victory dance into the end zone? Since then I've noticed most players giving the ball to a ref in the end zone. I'm sure Dabo preaches that. Hunter Renfrow always gave the ball to a ref after he scored a TD.
