First drive, we get a first down or two then punt.
Then, VT's first offensive play from scrimmage, Andre Branch crushes Brogan Thomas and we force a fumble.
Three plays later, Dwayne Allen literally juggernaut marches into the endzone with a calm gait... and the game was over from there.
I think / expect we see the same thing tomorrow night. Of course, M. Williams is miles better than L. Thomas, but I think we get some big plays from S. Lawson and the crew and we really pinch their offense.
Our defense has got to be hungry for some retribution. 'Tired Legs' will quickly be forgotten if we make a few big plays early.
Godspeed Tigers!
(o yea... our '11 offense took the field for the first series with the set of: S. Watkins, Hopkins, Ellington and D. Allen. I was amazed when I saw that... I'd forgotten we had all those guys at the same time... and now most NFL teams would take take that crew to start on Sunday, no questions asked)
Yep. Still watching the replay now... it gets better and better.
About our third series in, Martavis Bryant catches a pass. So now we have Watkins, Hopkins, Bryant, Ellington, Allen ... all NFL big-time players. We also have Boyd and Brandon Ford, who were great college players in their own right (what happened to B. Ford??).
Then... this is the icing on the cake. One series later, guess who catches a drag route across the middle (attached).
The scary part of all of this is.... we're a BETTER team now than we were then.
