Truth is truth; we had no business winning this game. Our defense made some plays but gave up two field-long plays (out of three plays) when it really counted. Our OL is so atrocious that it took KY going into a prevent for Cade to have more than enough time to check out his first read.
This team has a LOT to correct and we need a wholesale change at both tackles. Maybe Miller can move inside but he’s way too slow to play tackle. Receiver should be much improved next year but unless out tackle position improves, next year won’t be any better. 71 got tricked multiple times -one time onto his back. I felt bad for the kid because anyone who notices such a thing and knows him will never let him live it down. Unfortunately, dopes who don’t notice such things, such as the OP, will continue to toot the party line and pump the same sunshine that brought us from the end of Danny Ford through Tommy Bowden. Dabo is the man to fix this but he’ll be the first one to admit that it’s broken. This “suck it” crap is just that. It ain’t fixed and we’re another recruiting class of OL from beginning the fix. That OL owes Cade an apology for today.

There isn’t a P5 olinemen on the team. Luke can teach technique but he can’t teach talent. We have a talent problem on the OLine. Cade can’t be the QB he can possibly become with any of the olinemen we had on the field today.

I agree with your take on the OL, it was a complete mess except for a few plays. We need to coach these guys up.

Most of us here love our school and all of our players. Yes, it is true there are some here who do not (coots, and closet coots.) However, we recognize when they are not performing up to their potential. We have all the talent in the world and a head coach who has won us two national championships, but yet we were still a middle of the pack ACC team this year.
That being said, I’m very happy we won. I will always pull for my beloved tigers no matter how good or bad we are. But it is unwise to act like the team and coaches have their crap together right now. Constructive criticism is warranted in our current state.
No, I do not condone mindlessly bashing the team and our coaches and constantly crapping on them. But again, that does not mean that we cannot recognize their flaws and try to assess, in our own opinions, what the problems are as there are very glaring ones right now.
Let’s celebrate the win and enjoy it! But here’s to also hoping Dabo can fix the multitude of obvious problems the team has this offseason.
One thing more that I will say is I’m very proud of our team for not giving up today and winning the ball game even though it was not pretty at times. Go Tigers!
