😂 Let me tell ya, I remember those days. I also have the text book to prove they’re teaching Marxism in college today claiming socialism is the 8th level of enlightenment and communism is the ultimate level of enlightenment. I just had to go back and get my masters as an angry old man! 🤣

I have no problem with capitalism. at its core its better than Socialism, Marxism, Communism etc. But its becoming hard to support it when the 1% consistently use their power to abuse the masses. The "American Dream" is dead.

They are taught that they are elitists and should manage how the rest of us live..this was introduced in the Ivy League palaces and were managers of the State Department ( department of state) democrats are stocked with them Rosie's were stocked with Reds who twisted intelligence and filled everything from the AAA to banking...professors had to be indoctrinated or let go! Need to know how deep...we continued to stick with the soviet story about the Katyn Forest into the 90's...when it was proven the Soviets killed them in 1943! Poor Poles refused to be indoctrinated...kill um!

taxpayers further in the hole by forgiving all student loans. Just in that one instance alone, he is setting a horrible precedent for young people. Lesson is, it doesn't matter if you put your name on the dotted line for a loan. You should expect the guvmint to bail you out of those horrible payments. How dare people actually expect repayment of money they lent you to allow you to complete your dream of a college education? The nerve of those shady bastids.

Potato Joe is doing what all politicians do: Takes money that isn’t his and gives it to somebody else and then takes credit for it. Meanwhile he creates an expectation among groups that they will be given more of other people’s money and they get angry and violent when they are asked to pay their own way.

So the rich do it and it’s ok, some poor college students do it then you have problem with it?
At least giving young people more disposable income fuels the economy. They are hurting now because the “me” generation hoarded the wealth that the 1% didn’t grab.

And I was not for the bank bailouts. Nearly all of the large banks that got that taxpayer money were / are led by staunch democrats.
And I definitely wasn’t for Detroit bailouts either. Again, mostly to the benefit of democrats because of the unions.

NIL, unlimited transfers, paying players and recruits, big media networks aligning with the B1G and SEC, private equity investment college sports, selling naming rights on sports stadiums and arenas all have roots in free enterprise.

the system works when we have limits and cpetition, like paying not $200 a seat for an NFL game, or $14.00 for a hotdog and $11.00 for a souvenir cup of mostly ice to outside companies not even affiliated with the venue or franchise.
If that is not price gauging, I do not know what is. maybe if we had more competition, instead of backroom deals that allow Aramark to serve prison food at sporting events, things would be different. I know free market capitalism loves competition, and I am not seeing that in sports.

This 👆. We the people are on total control of that. If we show up and buy the stuff nothing will ever change. It just like our season tickets and the process of purchasing. They truly don’t care if I renew or not. There is a line waiting on my seats, or so they say.

Bro, i guess you dont understand capitalism…. Free markets, willing seller, willing buyer…. All the people that keep buying at those prices will continue to drive it up and sustain it… the people have to speak with their $$….. No buyer at those prices, the prices will come down…
Now if you are talkin about eliminating monopolies, then I am with you….
To me, the great divide between the rich and poor is creating huge issues for America….. if left unchecked, the ship will right itself in violent ways……

Just received my homeowners annual insurance notice. Premium is up 49% in 3 years but the coverage is up only 18%. Hail, I thought that industry was regulated. Of course, I can shop around but the answers will be similar. Capitalism as we once knew it is over. Unmitigated greed killed it years ago.

And this gouging would actually be ok if the arenas themselves weren’t subsidized by taxpayer money as then it would truly be private industry and I can choose/not choose to support both the arena or the food vendor.
