Newbie

Aug 15, 2022, 4:23 PM

Good afternoon fellow Tigers.

We're moving in our new Tiger on Friday at his set time of 11 am (praying the heavy rain they are calling for holds off). We live in Greenville - not sure how crazy it will be in Tiger Town and wondered, how early of a start should we get to be there on time for his 11 am slot? I think we have to go somewhere else first to check in before going to his dorm to drop off his stuff and then park and head back.

Any other tips other than patience and maybe a side trip to Esso to calm the nerves?

TIA and Go Tigers!

Leave an hour earlier than you would think, then even if you are there early you are in Clemson - enjoy it and good luck!

Staying calm & Esso Club ere not what I did in 1987..

but instead wore a summer plaid tie with short-sleeve shirt (so to impress since I was a 1959-66 student with some style & class) but after 1 of 5 hauls from the parking lot near Jervey back to dorm room on 4th floor in humid heat, the tie came off and collar opened!

Great day for your student, You & Family!!

Soak it in, don't almost cry as you leave that young adult, take a pic in the dorm room with & without roommate which you're cherish forever..

and try not to go back 2 more times in 1st week as I did from Charlotte..supposedly to bring needed stuff! Dang, missed that Boy and now he's 52, a Self-employed & successful Attorney 25 years and took his 1st child to college Saturday at UNC-G.

Saying, the years will breeze by!!!

Go TiGERS!

Thank you. This is our 2nd. Our oldest graduated Clemson in ‘19 and currently works at NC State. He was in Stadium Suites (which was incredible….what a view of DV he had). But he got to move in early so we didn’t go through all this chaos we’ll see this week. Will def soak it in. And hey, I’m in Greenville so he’s only 30-45 min away ?

My grandson has the same move in slot but not sure about which dorm or any details about how long they allow before the next group is supposed to begin

I saw check in is in lot C-1 but I don’t know if your scheduled time is when you need to arrive at C-1 or if you need to be there earlier.

I think need to be there earlier. It’s my understanding the 11 time is your 30 min slot to unload everything at the dorm on curb and then go back and park and head back over (maybe shuttle) to dorm. My youngster will be in Mauldin Hall.

Back in the day Mauldin was the Football and Basketball dorm.
