Goodwin's 2024 defense ranks 64th in TOTAL Defense giving up 373.2 YPG and ranks 53rd in SCORING Defense giving up 24.2 PPG. That's Clemson's worst defensive effort since 2013, Brent Venables' 2nd season at Clemson.
4 of 17 ACC teams failed to go to a bowl game: Stanford, FSU, UVa, and WF. Clemson played all 4 during the regular season, giving them arguably the easiest conference schedule possible.

Wes had the 8th ranked total defense in the nation last season and our record was 9-4.....if you think only one side of the ball needs to be fixed, you ain't paying attention

Marshmallow but if you want that to be attributed to JKs boyfriend then I can call him Charmin instead for the (hopefully short) remainder of his tenure as DC

Not enough talent. Yes the talent we have is being squandered in certain areas; but no one can deny the drop off in talented depth. You can see it at almost every possession on the defense, particularly DE, LB and safety.
No where near where we were in 2018. Yes, Coaching was better then, but BV had a lot more to work with
