I've been around for Spurrier's entire career in football....my old HS even played his old HS (Science Hill HS).....One cant argue with his success as a player (Heisman winner) and as a coach....but he's not someone I'd care to be friends with.......if there's ever been an athlete who let all the attention he received go to his head, Spurrier is the poster child. Pompous, arrogant, a complete absence of grace or humility,.....even if given the book as a gift, it would remain in my library unread.
