I said last year after watching the spring game that our team wasn’t that good and was told I had no idea what I was talking about and that it was just a spring game and we were missing players. Watching this year I feel the same way but I do feel like coaching and less mistakes will get us back into the CFB playoff. Do I think we’ll dominate teams? No. Do I think we win it all? That’s yet to be seen. I think this team has a lot of maturing to do offensively but I can see growth from last year and not from players but from coaching. I think they’re gonna our best guys on the field and put them in spots to be successful. The one spot I’m really concerned about is the QB position. After reading a lot of posts I think everyone saw what I saw and that is that Cade hasn’t gotten better and our best option looked like a walk on from Daniel high school. I get the play calling was purposely vanilla but even with vanilla playcalling you saw multiple trips down the field from Pearman. Now the question I have is do they continue to do what’s best for the team or do they continue to be loyal to Cade? Don’t get me wrong, I think you can win with Cade but I think he’s hit his ceiling and he’s not a championship QB. We’ve all been fortunate enough to see what good QB play looks like. Heisman caliber qb play but I haven’t seen it with Cade and that’s okay bc sometimes the system isn’t the right fit for a QB or the personnel doesn’t help and I believe coach should consider having a transfer portal conversation with him so he can be successful like many other portal QB talent (Penix,Burrow,Ewers, etc). I also say you can win with pearman that is if he plays like that on Saturdays. IMO we should go with a two QB system on opening day. Let them compete and see who the team rallies around
