Watkins isn't that explosive for kick returns and it increases the chance of injury. Maybe Hopper will be the answer.

Maybe, but I was more concerned about our coverage on kickoffs. That's what killed us last year vs. FSU.

Our lack of linebackers and defensive backs last year hurt our kick coverage. Those are the body types you need. That's part of the reason why I think you'll see our freshmen linebackers and many of our freshmen defensive backs avoid redshirts.

Like every other team was capable of doing last season. The reason Sammy isn't "dynamic" in returning kicks is because he usually has to start 5 yards deep. Last year we struggled to get the ball to the 5....so having a 10 yard head start is usually an advantage.
