Orvlosky's point was that nobody's playing better than TL at this point. That's defensible; it's not laughable at all. MS couldn't keep his partisanship hidden. If Clemson wins the title, that segment will get a lot of repeat play.
And saying that you'd "crush LSU" if the tables were turned is irrelevant. What's to crush if you're discussing two undefeated teams?

Joe Burrow is on a separate level from everyone this year.
Spears is an LSU guy. Why wouldn't he laugh?

If Trevor played all game then his numbers would definitely be where Burrows are. When you play a quarter to a quarter and a half less than some one that happens. Also ETN would be going to NYC too if he played the entire game and got 25 touches a game. You have to actually watch the game to see the dominance and not just read the box score.

There was nothing unprofessional about what Spears did to be honest. In most jobs it would be, but not there. That's how those shows work. That actual is part of their profession. That's why half of those guys have their jobs. They try and create debate and get people going. It works. They want to get people riled up.

I am with TigerzzRoar on this one. I don't know that I would call it unprofessional, but I would call it ignorant. He claims that "everybody" thinks Burrow is better with 2 people on the stage disagreeing with him. Rex Ryan, who I admit is a Clemson homer, was sitting there telling him to preach and I will assure you that was not sarcasm. I also am pretty sure that Spears wasn't trying to stir controversy. He is just that narrow minded.
The offenses are quite different and you can even debate is one more suited for one than the other. Burrow may be the best for LSU's offense, but I don't think that he would hold a candle to Trevor in ours, and NFL scouts would laugh Spears off the stage if he suggested that Burrow would be better in theirs. The man is a homer to the point of sounding like an idiot.

Probably kind of like a Louisville fan thinking L Jackson was better than Deshaun. They are so caught up in their team that they cant see anything else. Anyway, Burrow will be the top pick in this next draft and will win the Heisman. He has had an amazing year, so Spears just can't see it any other way. He is so excited about his LSU football. Spears and Rex Ryan I dont take seriously. Spears is a LSU homer and Rex Ryan is a Clemson homer. I will take Oslovsky's(sp) word. He played QB in the NFL for years and he has no dog in the fight. TL is better. We know that though. TL is a once in a generation type.

Here's the real irony: Orlovsky had a 13-year NFL career as a QB. Spears had a 9-year NFL career as a DE.
Who is more competent to evaluate the performance of college quarterbacks?
