One thing for sure is the schools with big stadiums (95,000-110,000) have advantages. We are on the border with 82,000 but schools with stadiums with less than 70,000 seats are going to be behind. The interesting thing is what do traditional powers is other sports (Oklahoma in softball, Connecticut in basketball, Iowa in wresting and so on) do to maintain or even increase their chances? One thing not mentioned is all schools thrive in student recruiting when their athletic teams win championships and stay in the news. Because applications from high school school students are the fuel that drive the school's finances, why would we not want to put extra money into soccer where we are maybe the top program in the nation? Interesting times ahead.
