No adjustments made when we had a kick blocked. At a critical juncture in the game, the second kick gets blocked from the same side. Kickoff returns were woeful. No adjustments to attack the middle of the field against 2 high. The running game play calling, while working for the most part against their vanilla front, was not creative. It felt a lot like the last 2 years where the intermediate passing game was non-existent, but I know the basic full-field zone they were running had a lot to do with that. On defense they were chopping our line repeatedly. Got to coach the guys up to defend that better, although admittedly they were mixing up. It was just tough to watch their vanilla scheme on defense eat us for lunch. The behind-the-line-of-scrimmage passing plays were baffling against their clearly faster defense.

When I saw the game plan that Riley/Dabo devised for this game after the first 2 series, I immediately thought "Ugh OH". here we go again. Straight ahead dives and behind the line screens against an aggressive zone 2 team. What an awful plan!

Running Dabo off is absurd at this point, but you have to admit he has to make some changes. Both in philosophy and staff. He can’t keep up by being so stubborn.
