Some of you need to get a grip on things.....

I will be the first to admit that Brad Brownell is not doing a great job in the recruiting area. I have always said he needs to pick it up in that area and thats something most would agree on. But some of you need to get a grip.
I am seeing all sorts of things on BB from give him time to fire him now. I want to be one of those that strongly oppose getting rid of BB. He is a fine basketball coach. I would say he is one of the best in the ACC and had he had better players, I'd place him against any coach in america. He is that good. No he isnt flashy or anything but he clearly understands basketball. And one of the things I admire about him is his ability to identify his issues. He knows where he lacked. And the first part of fixing any program is being able to identify whats wrong. Some coaches cant.
Now, some of you keep saying things like he should be gone yesterday and even gone so far as to say that we should close the basketball program altogether. What a load of garbage. There is actually some of us who enjoy the basketball program and frankly I could care less what some people who dont like it think. Im certainly not gonna listen to downers who dont even want the program. Your opinion is worthless. Some of us want it to succeed. I want BB to succeed. And I bet thaT if he can improve his recruiting, then he will be a winner here.
So.... lets help the man recruit before the disbelievers have his head on a platter. Some of you even hated Dabo and wanted him gone too, wanted a big name coach. Me? I was again concerned about recruiting this past year, but I do believe in Dabo. He is proving every year that he is the real deal. He is building a name for himself here, something Bowden couldnt do. He is slowly gaining respect. BB can do the same. And no, I dont have all the answers. I dont know whether we need better facilities in basketball or what but if we do, I say gived it to him. Help the man. Give him what he needs.
Try and help the coach succeed instead of wanting to see him gone and fail just because some of you have worthless lives and obviously want someone to fail other than you imo.
Id give BB 2more years minimum to turn this around. He needs it. In all fairness, the man inherited a mess here.... it just recently became apparent. No wonder OP left. He knew he was screwed. So he left for a new contract to distance hisself.
Support Brownell and I say instead of trashing him. How bout saying some nice things and sending him some quality tiger loyalty and support.

BB deserves next year, but there should be some real signs of improvement. If not, then it may be best to find someone else.
However, if we see significant signs of improvement even without making the NCAA tourney, he should get a chance to have another year. But the 2nd year we would expect to make the NCAA Tournament

with a new AD, I think he needs to improve quite a bit on this year... maybe not NCAA, but 8 ACC wins and NIT.
If he were to get us to the NCAA, the debate would be settled for a long time to come, IMO.
A year similar to this, and I think he's probably gone.

Ok, sure, but do you see this team improving next year?

Because, based on what we've got coming back, I've got a hard time believing we're going to do a whole lot. We really need to show improvement next year for Brownell to ensure that he stays at Clemson for another year.
That said, if I was Brownell I'd be looking for a way to get out of Clemson. It's a tough job, and it's tougher now than it has been in a while.
