You referring to the agent ducking behind Trump while shots were being fired or the one unable to holster her gun? No idea why people would criticize her. By the way, if a 6’4” , 250 lbs man had been ducking behind the president people would be hammering him far worse.

draw a line between someone ducking when an AR is firing at them and "unqualified".
But hey, you armchair extremists do have a way of getting from point A to point B in a hurry without much critical thinking, so that's that.
Blaming DEI on something like that is some real simpleton behavior.

Show me where I blamed DEI? I said I don’t care what race or gender they are as long as they are qualified. To your point about ducking in the line of fire or perhaps faulty training. Every secret service agent knows their job in that situation is to be a body shield. The job is to take a bullet and they absolutely know that coming in. Would I want the job. Heck no! But when a secret service agent sucks behind the one they are sworn to protect it’s a failure. Can not spin it any other way. She failed.

I've said or implied no such thing.
I've explicitly said that the problem with DEI is favoring "diversity" over merit.
You boys love your strawman arguments.

On who will receive the job unless there were specific studies wanting to be done. I am referring to one if the space missions a year or so ago. 4 members, 1 had to be a woman and 1 had to be non-white. That to me is kinda crappy.
I am highly interested in space travel and want it to succeed. I want the hoghest qualified people doing the mission. I do not care if all 4 were black women... if they were the best... GREAT! Lets go. But to state that one if them had to be a woman and one had to be non-white... that limits your field drastically.
Again, if they were doing tests on what certain space conditions have on female reproductive system... then by all means, the best qualified woman. Because that would be necessary.
Or what space conditions effect sickle cell... your pool is now limited to african decendants (from my understanding).
But just to say 1 is going to be a woman and 1 a non-white, just because... nah, do the most qualified. And again, i got accused of being a racist or sexist last time I said this... I would be just as frustrated if they put a stipulation for the best 4 white men. I want the best... period.

play out. Generally speaking, I think MOST people want the people with the best qualifications regardless of race, gender, etc.
One does have to acknowledge the systematic narrow thinking that has existed in our socieity for quite some time, and that there is room for improvement.
I'm not sure what the rock solid answer here is, but like gun violence in America the answer certainly isn't to just do nothing.

"Generally speaking, I think MOST people want the people with the best qualifications regardless of race, gender, etc."
Joe Biden didn't when he chose a VP. He specifically wanted to narrow his options based on race and gender.

There's something like 80 million Boomers, and you just lumped us all into the same pot. That's as weak as: "Blacks are all ______." "Mexicans are all ______." "Millennials are all lazy and stupid". "Boomers are all racist, misogynistic deekheads." "Women are weak and cannot perform jobs as well as men." It's all the same.

Guess that would depend on if she failed her pilots exam and then was made a pilot anyway. Do you lack basic reading comprehension or are you intentionally ignoring the most important part of the OP which wasn't her gender.
