Solution to the NIL delimma

The NCAA should allow all the big NIL schools like UGa, FSU, Ohio State, Michigan, etc to form their own professional football league. They could then play each other only and have an ESPN broadcasted "national championship" between them for their mercenary athletes. The league could be treated as a minor league in baseball. They could get foreign investors like the Saudis or the CCP. Then, the remainder of college football could go back to how it was previously done 10 years ago.

That's not a solution...that's the problem...in most of this the one thing forgotten is the student athlete...these are actually supposed to be legitimate college students participating in athletics while studying for a degree from the university...hence the term scholarship! Over zealous fans who believe that winning at any cost justifies forgetting the original mission are the problem along with an organization who is supposedly going to make the student athlete it's goal...the NCAA has failed miserably and those in charge have no morals!

Only way to fix is to completely roll back (impossible) or put them on payroll and have a collective bargaining agreement to manage the salaries. Sign 5 year contract with buyouts for leaving early. Basically an NFL structure
Google Chip Kelly’s thoughts on this. His plan makes so much sense it will never be implemented.

That would lead us back to the bagman.

Only this time it would be a duffel bag rather than MacDonalds.

Start with NFL rules and regulations. The horses are out of the barn and ain’t going back in.

Not sure exactly what it will look like, but...

.... that is the direction we are headed, for sure.

A group of schools will form s "super division" and will have a different set of rules and regulations than everyone else.

I just want Clemson to be in the group that actually has academic standards.

The question will be...

....when the new order is in place will there be a chance for the "elite group" to have any semblance of academic standards. Or will the situation be like the UNC basketball team - academics are optional, but certainly not expected.

Clemson fans need to change their perception of nil. Either that or accept mediocrity.

I have no problem with nil as it is intended. Players should be able to make money off of their name image and likeness. They should be required to get their own deals not this collective nonsense.
