Wake looks pretty solid. We are struggling keeping possession, and they have basically lived in our third of the field. Had one really good opportunity and couldn't get a shot off.

Wake is very impressive...really work the ball around, plus stout 1v1 ball skills. Clemson has had a couple nice build-ups and chances. WF was clearly better in the first half...and last time they played. Whether some 2nd half adjustments will help, time will tell soon enough.

They've got several guys who have the potential to create their own shot, our guys look like they depend on one another much more often and off the ball space.

Wake has looked good, and Clemson has pressed the attack a bit better in the 2nd half.
On a side note, the 1980's Houston Astros called....asked if we could return their unis when we're done.

Honestly, I don't see it as a caution...he never made contact with the WF player...just an awkward landing. The referee will get nailed on his post-match assessment.

The idea of a red card in a situation like that just rewards the fake injury crap. Referee ought not to work another game this year. That was absolutely terrible.

I think he was screwed either way. If he didn't come out, he was 1v1 with the striker...he really had a lot going against him.

Had the goalie handled the ball rather than head it, he'd have been sent off for denying an obvious goal scoring chance. So, Tigers would be down two players.

That being said, that sounds like a dumb rule. Penalizing the goalie for doing his job?

That's likely a given, actually. Most of the ACC teams will be in the tournament field. I'm not sure it's such a big advantage to win the ACC tourney. The regular season is so rugged and half the Top 10 is almost always comprised of ACC sides. The extra rest can be quite helpful this time of year.
