For years Clemson has been sending "Unity" e-mails

stressing "One Clemson" and "uniting together" as they continue divide the University.
This time it is the "Have and Have Nots" ticketing system.
At least the students are getting a real world education lesson from it.
Though of course it's not ALL about money...well yes it is.
SMH
P.S. You hypocritical ######## who went to Clemson years ago, got free tickets to every game, and are now talking about how great and fair and right a ticket lottery is are a disgrace to true Clemson men like Dean Cox, R.C. Edwards, and all the old guard who used to genuinely care about students instead of just e-mailing "lip service."
P.P.S. And for those youngsters out their who don't know what Clemson University used to be like, well, I pity you.

We waited hours in line to get our tickets. As I recall we also had to walk up hill in blizzards to get them which on the 100 degree games seems rather odd.

to the highest bidders camping underneath the Library walkway (what a cold, damp place). If you were in the front of the line you MIGHT make your 8am class. If in back, the 9:05 was in jeopardy.

For years they've made 10,500 free tickets available.

Most of the time ,they didn't use all of them. Of those that were used, a lot of no shows, show up laters and leave at halftimers. Year before last they tried to add close to another 5,000 available at discounted prices ,the students protested. Now they're whining because of Auburn tickets ,but not Kent State tickets ?

It's 2017. They scan each ticket with computer. It's very easy to know whether they show up for a game or not. I never said I was against revoking tickets for no-shows.
But every student that want to go to a football game should get to got.
It's THEIR University, its THEIR time.

doesn't want to go any of the three (and never will).
You like most are just creating a "virtual reality" straw man.
You wont to not solve a problem that doesn't exist, not solve a problem that does.
Not surprised though, selfishness is the word of the century.

Of course they don't

But if we make tickets available to all of them, we have to be prepared to seat them. What if we win the 2018 CWS, and then my son (a CU student) wants to attend the CU-USC home game? What if we start out the basketball season by going undefeated through the out of conference schedule and he wants to see the ACC home opener? Why should he be guaranteed a seat at a football game but not at the other two "major" sports, which generate a lot less revenue for the athletic department?
I would like to solve the problem, but I do not see a feasible solution. What is your solution?

I doubt we'd whine about it.
Kids who went to clemson in the 60s could buy beer. I couldnt. I didn't friken whine about it.
Kids today have fancy dorms. I had to take a dump in a community Stall with no door.
I had to hang an antenna out the wind to get 3 stations. They all have cable.
Who said this wasnt about money?
Boo fri ki en hoo. Things change. If you feel strong about it, give a student your tickets.
