So, with the obvious "UNC is bad" caveat...

There is still progress being shown. IN play calling and in execution.
Numerous times in the first 4 games these same tendencies were present by the defense and we didn't take advantage.
And numerous times in the first 4 games we had the right play call on, but one or more players didn't execute it.
So it is progress, even against a genuinely bad D, to see those 2 things happening so far.

In my mind, the play of the offensive line is one of the biggest positives. Granted, the D line may not be that good but the offensive line is playing well and protecting Cade so that he has time to pass and find his receivers.

Whether UNC is bad or not Clemson needed this. As much as moral victorys dont count for wins morale is a huge part of team sports and our Tigers morale seemed very low. Hopefully this is the turning point in the season.

I mean UNC still has athletes and they want to win, the QB is such a great story and I hope
he has success going forward, so they are still a team that “can” win(they’ve got 2 wins) if we dont play better than our first 4 games. The problem with UNC is much the same as the issues weve shown with consistency and coordination and execution for all 4 quarters. So far we look like
we’ve actually practiced and showed up ready to play. I hope we have turned a page.

I'm always glad to be winning but this UNC team is terrible and Cade shouldn't have thrown that ball with 3 blue shirts in the end zone. That was a pick . The offense still sucks. UNC just can't defend anybody.
