So what happens if AL beats UGA. What will the rankings

be for the playoff? In My previous post the consensus was that if uga beats al them al still is in. I guess that is the case in the opposite scenario?
If so, who takes the other 2 positions. Hopefully not Notreoverrateddame is in.

I just think that when it gets right down to it, against Saban, former assistant coaches can't stand the heat. Bimbo finally caught him on an off night, but A&M winning that game was not the result of any brainy coaching decisions.

If AL wins, and i think there is a great chance they will, then as long as OSU does not loose, then
AL 1
OSU 2
GA 3
Cincy 4
GA would not fall to 4, as the CFP committee would not have them play against each other in the 1st round.

If Alabama wins they switch positions .If Georgia wins ,Alabama probably drops to #3.Alabama drops out of the top 4 if only those lose in a blow out like they did in 2018 44-14 type score.

Who knows, but they both go. Then they probably play each other again for the title unless Ohio State does something.

If Bama wins they trade positions. CFP wants SEC #1 #3 in rankings. They want the possibility of all SEC final. If they play each other in the first round, one would be eliminated.

without some other teams losing. They've looked beatable quite a bit this year and their resume really wouldn't stand out that much without a win over Georgia despite playing in the SEC. They would essentially be hanging their hat on wins over Ole Miss, Miss St, and Arkansas. I think the "consensus" here that Bama gets in at 11-2 is largely rooted in cynicism with a touch of paranoia and distrust in the selection committee. IMO the committee hasn't done anything egregious in their 7 years of selecting teams so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for now.
If Bama beats Georgia though they are probably the 1 or 2 seed depending on what OSU does. Georgia is still easily in the playoff, probably as a 3ish seed. I wonder if the committee would fiddle with the rankings to avoid an immediate rematch with Bama.
