It didn't look like it struck the board at all to me. Just a power outage. That strike in the video was miles away.

Also know that all those strips aren't surge protectors, so before you purchase one of them, be sure that the label says this is a surge protector or you could lose everything that you have plugged into it. Again, be sure that it is labeled as a surge Protector!!!

the other thing to remember is that a surge protector works once. after that, you own a glorified power strip.
