BTW, they aren't paying them above board. It is going through some intermediary to hide it. If they are being paid to run a campaign, like you say, that is illegal. If they are being paid to stay silent about something, that is also illegal. If the campaign paid them directly, even to cover up some bad personal or financial behavior, that would be perfectly legal.

If you would rather go for a bi-partisan look at the crooks in our Government then I can highly recommend Peter Schweizer's "Secret Empires".
My bigger point being, that a partisan Huffington Post reporter is claiming that someone in the Trump orbit (Kimberly Guilfoyle) MAY be getting an illegal $180k annual payment (which has yet to be proven - we shall see) triggered a post from you on TigerNet (at least the post is in the right forum now). Yet there are political families (political party immaterial) who have spent generations getting rich off of their political positions and influence and that doesn't seem to bother you - at least not as much as it does when the alleged crook is tangentially connected to Trump.
One thing I learned long ago about politics: NO politician or political party has a monopoly on virtue or greed so be careful when you start throwing rocks because it will inevitably end in a "pot calling the kettle black" moment.

It was substantial, because he got them to sit in the second row at his wedding so the cameras would catch them.
That author did spread misinformation about Uranium One, at least the mechanics of it. Crazy people on TV were claiming US uranium was being exported

Bill & Melinda are still the biggest donors. The accusations are that people donated and then were given substantial favors by Hillary as SecState. FBI started investigating when Trump came into office, but I haven't heard anything in a while.
