So the number of cases need to go down?

Do we need to do what Trump says(off the cuff, as usual) that we need to test less? If we don't know the asymptomatic have it, the numbers go down and the players can keep playing if we don't know they have it. JUST KIDDING .... before I get all the TDs and called bad names .

The way things have gone a lot can change very quickly the way the last 3 months have gone. I believe, hope and pray we will have Clemson Football this season.
At least the virus is vanishing quickly!
Go Tigers!

Phases are a joke. The CDC and Trump's "experts" wanted voters to think they were taking the proper steps and follow a phased reopening but all it takes is a quick look at case numbers across the country to see that the guidelines were not followed. Someone needs to be the adult in the room because there is certainly no one in Washington and capitals like Columbia that fit that definition.

Could the "protest" have anything to do with the increase in COVID cases?

All we gotta do is have a big protest march

that starts in the parking areas with a big "welcome meal" and happens to end in the stadium. Calling it a protest seems to give you the authorization to do pretty much whatever you want, so let's go from calling it "tailgating" to a "pregame meal-included protest"! We'll end up in the stadium and yell our favorite Clemson chants and cheers. Problem solved!

Sad that David actually thinks there could be tailgating allowed and that he "has a hard time thinking the stadium will be full". Ya think?
Better start changing your expectations, DH.

Social distancing???
Jun 26, 2020, 10:28 AM

|
So if it was possible to get more than one ticket for a family group, would they be seated together?
Or do you have to sit 6’ apart from a spouse or child?
If you don’t will they have distance nazi’s walking around with tape measures?
What’s to stop buddies from sitting together or ignoring the rule altogether?
How can you tell the difference?
Good luck with getting students to comply. I’ve already seen that happen with my high school daughter’s group. You can tell them to social distance, but it does not work at all.
I just don’t think the vision of 20,000 people sitting 6ft from each other is realistic not enforceable. Kind of like the mask rule.

IF masks/social distancing is mandated, DO IT. No exceptions

If exceptions are allowed, then it will turn into anarchy...But I'm not wearing my mask so that I can drink my soda...the whole game. But this is my family. But these people drove to the game with me. But can't everybody else but me do it. But this is my buddies. NO buts...and YES, security should escort people out who don't follow the rules.

If the Tigers are ranked (pre-season) #1 and the season is cancelled, do we win the Championship??
Asking for a friend of course...

We can all speculate but who knows and you hit on one of the big topics for "in-season." When someone test positive, how far does the quarantine go? What about when a coach tests positive? Do you lose the entire O-line if Caldwell is positive at some point during the year? The three headlines the other day - based on a hundred people reporting to campus around the country says all you need to know about the fall when thousands of students return - "23 players test positive at Clemson," "30 players quarantined at LSU" and "K State stops workouts for `4 days." Fall 2020 here we come.

It’s not popular opinion here but the response is too late..I’m a physician on the frontline in Virginia, D.c & Maryland. Maryland football players have zero cases. This areas curves are down after being a hotspot..mask are enforced in the northeast..they can be enforced..the Governor if he wants to see colleges back in any form is going to have to make that hard decision...like they did from Virginia up to Mass...sorry but that’s the way the virus works..you cant control it without a real stern plan..that’s the reality...it doesn’t just affect the students but the entire staff..oh well..it’s a public health issue that has become politicized for no reason
