So Im guessing no one has worked with Hauser

On getting his kick angles up. I guess they just expect him to fix it himself. He’s accurate and could be really great but he can’t continue kicking low liners. Teams are starting to figure our kicking weakness out.

Who is there to work with him? Clearly we do not have a special teams coach on staff.

In all seriousness I was watching him kick pregame and told my buddy that sure he’s hitting some long field goals but he’s still kicking so low even in warm ups, why is there no coach out there correcting him on that?

Times are hard, we only have 200 coaches on the sideline.

He is not kicking low liners. They guys up front and the blocking scheme are the problem. Even high school coaches know that you cannot let a man inside you and we do it every game. Horrible Special Teams coaching.

Most FG attempts do get a little penetration

Blocking is certainly a problem, but when I saw his first kick live - I commented to the person beside was...the was a really low kick.

Blocking is atrocious, but if you think he’s not kicking it low, look at the trajectory difference of his XP’s vs his field goal attempts, there is a massive difference. It could just be inconsistency in striking the ball, notice the long FGA as well as the short FGA last night were both low. And the short one was not much more than an XP.

I’m probably overreacting here out of frustration, but it seems that Hauser’s get-off time is a fraction of a second slow.
For sure with our punt game, our punter is not a fast-get-it-off guy. I suspect that my observations about Swanson have infected my perceptions about Hauser.

You do realize Louisville has 5 blocks this season. There is blame to share. And of course your thesis statement is certainly false.

Since LOU had a repurptation for blocking kicks prior to last night’s game, and since we had two weeks to prepare for LOU game, one might have assumed that our coaching staff would have squeezed in some extra special teams time to preempt LOU’s kick blocking prowess.
Yet, LOU blocked both of our FG attempts and wasn’t loafing when we kicked our PATs.

Are we watching the same kicks? Hauser isn’t the issue it’s the blocking. All 4 blocks the last few games have come from the same side of the line. Louisville looked like they ran through and open door last night on both blocks

He doesn’t seem very quick getting the kick off

So I’m not the only one who has perceived this.

Having a lineman get knocked on his butt does not bode well to successful field goals.

Didn't mean to hijack your post.
Yes, it appears to me the angle of elevation of his kicks is low.
