yesterday in the TP section. She was telling her girlfriend how sick she is of Charmin and how it breaks apart, yada yada. I could relate. Anyway, she inquired as to how the Northern I was buying was compared to Charmin. I just grinned a super pervy grin and told her she would like it.
I then elaborated further how I too thought Charmin sucked because it was too soft and would tear apart wiping your ###. The Northern is still soft but stronger and leaves less residue. Not too strong to be rough, but soft enough to not rub you the wrong way.
She about died laughing and got red in the face. I walked off, but her friend was incredulous. I personally was non-plussed because she admitted to using Charmin..... meaning I knew she was doing a horrible job wiping.

I've found Northern has the best balance of softness

yet strength. It strikes a good balance. But I'd take the cardboard TP at grocery stores and public rest areas over Charmin. NO WAY. That #### tears, rolls up, and sticks to your ### and that's a best case scenario. Worst case is a finger busting through.
