So, a #9 ranking probably means we are still alive

For a BCS at large bid and a top 5 finish. If FSU runs the table and goes to the MNC game, I assume that will help us. Still a lot to play for this year.

If it means FSU playing for the MNC,then I vote for the Chic-Fil-A. No way,no how do I pull for FSU in any National Championship scenario. For the first time last season I pulled for Notre Dame just because I was tired of Bama. But if Bama get there again,I hope they do to the Noles what they did to us. And be d(a)m(m)e(d) any BCS at large bid.I don't want there help!

If we win out, even if FSU doesn't play in the NC game

we'd still be a favorite for an at large BCS bid. Uarantee you the Sugar Bowl would love to have us against the 2nd best SEC team, assuming Bama plays for NC. Winning out is the key, that starts this Saturday

Clemson in the BCS would be a recruiting boon, eventually leading to enough talent to challenge FSU. Clemson in the Chic-Fil-A would simply tell recruits that FSU and Clemson were not in the same zip code as far as potential goes. No, anything that gets us into the BCS picture is good for Clemson, even if it helps the noles as well.

Depends on who we played in CFA Bowl

if it was another highly ranked opponent like LSU last year and we won, that's still an awesome way to end the season (especially if we already won 10 or 11 games)... but otherwise yeah, wouldn't do much for us.

Right on the money. I understand peoples' frustrations over last night but it's time to be realistic and quit pouting. Are Dabo and company perfect? Not hardly, but we are better than we were before he took over and we can still finish with a great year and give a boost to recruiting, which regardless of what the "we didn't show up" crowd claims, was the biggest difference in the outcome last night. And don't even come here with that, "Well Dabo beat so and so when they were down" BS. You have to play who is on the schedule and it aint our fault if they are perceived as being "down".

We got beat 51-14 AT HOME,who would even consider us, would be different if we actually played a decent game and lost, but to get hammered, not a chance in hell.

There are 5 BC Games, counting the championship. There are 10 teams. We are ranked 9. If others lose ahead of us - we move up. A conference can have only 2 representatives in the 5 games.
If we don't lose
DO THE MATH.

We will not win the conference or a NC now

BCS at large is completely meaningless imho. Since we have nearly zero chance of an acc championship the only game that holds meaning is the coot game. We MUST WIN THAT GAME or this season can be called a disaster. Our win over UGA doesn't look so impressive now that they are out of the top 25...we must beat the coots to salvage this season...forget the rest.

Salvage the season? We played a terrible game, a championship caliber fsu squad hit on all cylinders after a bye week. We need to step back from the cliff, take the gun out of your mouth!
We still have a great shot to win out and beat coots on the road, go to a bcs game and boost ourselves as well as continue to improve our conference stock. We need depth at db(not having Yaron Peters, Breeland, Alexander, and poor safety play, killed us!) but we've got great players on both sides of the ball and we are still young! Boyd leaves, but we have a good qb battle to look forward to...we will be good again next year and it'll come down to us and FSU again! We didn't lose to an ole miss, vandy, or Tennessee. FSU was the best team I've seen this year on Saturday night.
