whether you think its "misinformation" or not, isn't the point of having candidates on, to show the country what this person stands on? good or bad? This person is running for President and you have a new agency censoring him. unbelievable.
Meanwhile, libs. You mean pubs banned trans sex books at an elementary school!

website back early on, the article cited a study I'd already read, that said something that the study didn't say. Went back and checked the actual study from the source (he never linked it btw). And sure enough, the study never said what the article said the study said.
It was retracted about 2-3 weeks later, after the damage was done.
Anyway, he's a hard no, along with Biden, and Trump. I have no clue what ABC censored, but he is going to roll with this because he knows he can.

News agencies should not be the guardians on truth, especially for a dude running for President. Again, you let the people see who he is, good or bad. So, you know, they can decide for themselves if he's batshit crazy or not
If you think this is a good thing, then you got issues.

But Sydney Powell saying she knew that Dominion voting machines were inaccurate because a decapitated time traveling spirit told her that, and Fox decided to go with that info, even though they knew Powell's source...well, that didn't help with NOT having to settle with Dominion.

He goes against their narrative so censorship is not an issue to the left. Now if you want to read #### to elementary school kids the left is all about not having restrictions but we all know why that is the case.

primaries. ALWAYS.
South Carolina GOP made sure that last election I had literally no choice but to vote for Donald Trump or Joe Biden. That is by design, and that's not very democratic. I drank bourbon and watched the riots that resulted.
Now we have this election, and dems are wanting to shut down debates and primaries, while the GOP is promoting debates and primaries.
Is what it is, broken.

Somebody posted a good link the other day, but there hasn't been a serious primary challenge to a seated President since 1992 (and I wouldn't call Pat Buchanan challenging George H.W. Bush especially serious). Before that, Ted Kennedy primaried Jimmy Carter in 1980 and Ronald Reagan primaried Gerald Ford in 1976. All three of these guys were voted out in the general election.

Doesn't matter IMO.
Apr 28, 2023, 1:59 PM
|
|
There should always be an alternative, and a vote, for each party, no matter if the candidate is an incumbent or not. Just a principle IMO that's important, even if no challenger has a prayer of winning. That's not the point. Right now something like 70% of dems do NOT want Biden to run again. If the dems remove primaries in states, like SC removed their GOP primary when Trump ran again, then that's a LOT of dems not getting a chance to express themselves in a voting booth. Same for the GOP in SC with Trump.
It's a bad systemic problem that must not be allowed to happen. For me, in the GOP, it put me in a position of having to vote for Trump, or Biden. I had literally no other choice. So I was disenfranchised, didn't vote for the President in 2020, and well, the results speak volumes.
Your primary vote is the most important, always. And to not have one, should be criminal IMO.

It's not "censoring"
Apr 28, 2023, 11:15 AM
|
|
It's called "editing" and every network does it.
To be clear, his vaccination nonsense is far from being about only COVID. He's one of the idiots (like Don Imus and his wife) who spread the false claims that childhood vaccinations caused autism.
He's a guy who never held office and wants to suddenly run for President. He isn't a credible candidate.
I love how Republicans are such staunch defenders of fringe candidates in the Democratic Party. I guess that is how afraid of Joe Biden they are.

claims about the Covid-19 vaccines… We’ve used our editorial judgement and not including extended portions of that exchange in our interview."
That's censoring.
They didn't say - he talked to long, so we cut it out. That would have been editing.

There are a lot of potential non-fringe candidates (Newsome and Harris are the top of the list). But none of them are going to run when they already have the guy who beat Trump once.
Y'all are just mad that the Democrats have the guy that beats Trump already topping the ticket. They aren't so stupid as to take insincere campaign advice from Republicans.
As I said on another post, why didn't Trump debate William Weld? He was a far more serious (two-term governor) challenger than JFK Jr. If not for his name, JFK Jr. he wouldn't get any attention at all.

I think that is a fair take.
And listen, if someone wants to go into the smoke-filled GOP room and get them to agree to not run Trump, I'll be happy to go into the smoke-filled Democrat room and get them to not run Biden. But this is all on the Republicans. If they are going to run the thoroughly disgraced Trump once again, we'll run Biden because we know he beats Trump.
Part of the problem was when Trump and Bernie claimed the process was rigged and forced party rules changes. It diluted the influence of party stakeholders. Now any fly-by-night candidate can crash the party. Which is why you have the MAGAt takeover of the GOP. It hasn't happened to the Democrats... yet. But we are effectively inviting the next celebrity candidate.
And I do put the bulk of the blame on the GOP. When Obama was President, Republicans stopped articulating clear policy messages. It was all about obstruction. So when the 2016 primaries came along, and you had basically a dozen nobodies who stood for who knows what and one reality show host who acted like a bull in a china shop, throwing around insults and spouting three-word catchphrases (instead of articulating clear policy messages), of course the guy with the name recognition got the nomination.

They definitely don't have a responsibility to platform someone just because they're running for office. I definitely don't remember anyone complaining because the Tiger King guy wasn't featured in debates. Still, it would have been nice to see him called out for his bs and made to answer questions about his takes.
