Since Riley appears to be the new OC

I think it shows that what Dabo was trying to do made sense. One appearance in the CFP and TCU has lost their top assistant. Through 6 CFP appearances Dabo mostly kept his staff intact. Losing Jeff Scott after 5 appearances was the first major hit. He tried something. It didn’t work. He moved on. Most of you who have spent time bashing Streeter also insisted that Dabo was too prideful, fat, and happy to change his ways. You were completely wrong and have nothing to flex about. Anyone complaining about hiring Riley is simply here to complain.

Who is reporting it is Riley? Is it possible Dabo was calling some plays also? Were other staff members involved in play calling at all ? I believe Streeter seemed to be a good QB coach as well, but it still comes down to the jimmys and joes. You can not take a ####### to the Kentucky Derby.

Multiple legit sports reporters, including Adam Rittenburg, are reporting it as a done deal.

Anyone who is complaining about the probable hire of Riley is simply a clown that doesn't understand football and is chronically online.

Dabo should NEVER have put Streeter

in that position in the first place. ?‍♂️

Had this been done initially….

Would hiring the SMU OC have really made you happy? I doubt it.

Nope

This was a top 10 program that was hiring coaches that were unqualified for that position.

It was stupid.

They weren’t “unqualified” for the position. That’s a stupid argument. That there were potentially better options is not the same. And when we’re hiring new OCs and new DCs every other year and subsequently losing more players than ever before to the portal, the idea of grooming a staff that would be stable for more than couple years at time will make itself apparent to you.
