Silent Saturday!

Friday, our Lord was crucified. Saturday as His dead body lay in the tomb, His Spirit was leading captivity captive. In the Old Testament, the writers often spoke of Sheol. It was a dark place that dead souls went to at death. Those who did not know God went to Gehenna, those who did went to the Bosom of Abraham. As His body lay motionless and lifeless, He went and delivered those who had been "asleep" in God from this place... taking the the keys of death, hell, and the grave! On this cold rainy day, just food for thought! Tomorrow we celebrate a Risen Savior, death no longer has dominion over those that are redeemed! God bless you all, Happy Easter!
