Dabo failed to take his own advice (that he espoused to numerous corporate execs when he was a hot commodity on the speaking circuit), that you are most vulnerable when you are at the top. “It’s not far from the penthouse to the outhouse”! He didn’t truly keep up with the changes in the game and became stubborn in his own way, as to not hire anyone but yes men, friends and family. No one understood that better than Nick Saban. He was the master and when he saw he no longer wanted to be part of the current landscape and keep adapting, he walked away. Dabo has to either follow his own advice and make significant changes or walk away like Saban and hopefully save some dignity. His press conferences are an embarrassment to himself and what he did accomplish while on top.

Your opinion aside, it's yours & while well struck, Nick Saban was 72.

He'd been fighting the spread, HUNH, IMD and other changes for many years. I'd be surprised if a defensive guy on this little blue speck, tumbling through an ever ballooning universe, likes the 3 yard rule or its exception.

Here we go again. You want Dabo to leave. You probably want to go back and run the option too.

Not sure who the “we” is you mentioned, but I’m not with you.
There are some positives. The offense yesterday certainly looked better than it has all year. Over 500 yards of total offense. Gideon Davidson ran well and caught 4 passes and ended up with 95 all purpose yards. That bodes well for the future. Adam Randall had 99 total yards, mostly rushing and we averaged 4.9 yards per rush as a team. The offensive performance was very encouraging to me but I tend to look for positives as opposed to just looking to be critical of the coach and program.
The defense was awful. We were supposed to have 3 first round picks on our defense, 2 on the D - line and we are getting absolutely no pressure on QBs in passing situations. We had just 2 sacks yesterday, one of which was by Jahiem Lawson, who seems to be one of our best defensive linemen, playing part time. But, I know, we need to stop the friends and family Daniel High pipeline. For the last several games, it seems like every time the offense gets going and we score, the defense just lays down and gives up big plays and points. Ended both halves like that yesterday. I’m not going to pretend to know what needs to be done to fix this, and I was really excited by the Allen hire. But something just isn’t working on defense. I love to watch dominant defensive football and Clemson has had that a lot over the years, but this year something is definitely missing there.
And giving up a kickoff return for a TD is terrible. Looked like we are just going through the motions.
I know you want to pin it all on Dabo and he is the man in charge so the buck stops with him. I don’t really care who does it or how they do it, I just hope we can get back to exciting football with dominant defensive play. Not my job to figure out how to get there or who are the right people to do it.

The option would probably work well against Carolina. They have trouble defending the edge. And guarantee they wouldn’t have prepared for it. Problem is not sure Cade can run anymore this year.

Our team isn’t built to run the option. You just want us to lose to your team.
