He runs with his pads forward often. Low and ready to pummel a tackling attempt, but that works against making jukes and cuts while maintaining balance. Watch some old footage of Barry Sanders. He had such strong legs that he could keep his pads more above his feet and accomplish unbelievable changes in direction.
