I’m sure Dabo is feeling out his network. If the right fit is out there, eg, like Matt Luke or GR, he might make a move; otherwise, I bet he sticks with what he knows. That’s at least my assumption.

Dabo is always analytical and methodical in his decisions. Having seen his past decisions, everyone should know nothing was going to be decided yesterday or today. And I doubt anything will happen before Christmas. If you read between the lines of Dabo’s halftime comments last night, he is not happy with the defensive performance and change is likely coming.
I know everyone today wants decisions yesterday, but that is not how Dabo operates. Nor will it be because he understands the impacts of every decision he makes regarding personnel.

I don’t think he understands the impacts of decisions.
If he does, why did he make such a stupid and explicable hire when Venables left? No one else would have given Goodwin that position. And there is enough evidence to support saying it was bad.

Bet he makes a ton more decisions than you or I make on a daily basis. He's won two national championships and many appearances in playoff with a bunch of ACC championships. But he doesn't understand the impacts of decisions. OK.

I 100% guarantee he doesn't make more decisions than I do on a daily basis. I manage far more people than the Clemson football program. That said, I don't agree that he doesn't understand decision-making, even if I'm a pretty vocal critique of his cronyism. I think he fully understands his choices, but has his own priorities in making the choices he does.

the next diamond in the rough. We have the luxury of hindsight. It may not have worked out for Wes but there must be something there for BV to want to take him. Maybe BV would have made him DC, maybe not

Tough call, but in my opinion the defense has lost intensity and fire. We don’t appear to be playing with all out effort and intensity, and that needs to change. That comes from the top.

The Lemanski Hall termination illustrates that Dabo ain't scurred to make a tough decision. Hall of all the people he has let go is probably closest to him.

Offense will be good. Potentially REALLY good. But status quo on the defensive side will be an unmitigated disaster. Im sorry but that would be wholly unacceptable.

I also think in an odd way the offense plays into the decision. The offense should be good enough to win a Natty next year or at least compete at that level. The D is not on that level but does have the roster talent. A seasoned DC could be the difference next season in terms of competing at the CFP level.

I would laugh even harder at the people who complain here day and night thinking that their harsh negativity matters to anyone who is in authority over our sports programs.
