At the end of the day, I do think Dabo's philosophy is the right thing to do for these players and their families. Academics first, performance 2nd.
With that being said, I'm hoping he continues to utilize the portal and make a few position coach changes in the off-season.

That’s what I did
Classes he has to get through
Cell Bio/Cell Bio Lab
General Chem 1/2 and Gen Chem Labs 1/2 paired along
Organic Chem 1/2 along with labs
Calculus 1
Genetics (Sneaks up and is a pain in ###)
Physics 1/2 with both labs again
Biochemistry
Along with all other classes he needs for Bio and rest of coursework

Most of you would crack after the first month, and he’s playing football along with all of that
Whether he’s just an idiot in over his head, or more likely a guy who can completely do that, it’s no joke how much work it is.

Yes, and they have to have A’s and it absolutely killed any curve for the rest of us. Haha. Second semester organic was no joke.

I would like to know how he manages all the afternoon labs and practices? I transferred into Clemson as a bio major for my sophomore year after having a career ending injury playing ball at a smaller college. I only lost 3 credit hours but I had 3-5 late afternoon labs every week for the entire time I was getting my BS. I can’t imagine how Sammy balances it. You mentioned some core courses and “along with all the other classes…”. “All these other classes” you didn’t mention all these “ology” classes had (have?) afternoon labs - examples - Med and Vet Parasitology, invertebrate biology, vertebrate biology, ecology, ichthyology, ornithology, zoology, limnology, psychology, entomology…these are just some examples I remember…,the list goes on depending on your post-grad emphasis (ex. Vet/med, etc.). I am not sure how Sammy is doing this, but I’m very impressed! We had a middle linebacker, maybe Chad Carson(?), who pulled it off I believe but it’s very rare.

Does my heart good to see students taking real courses! Not underwater basket weaving, public speaking for 8th graders or training for my second felony sentence! Don't think that any college should develop a curriculum for those that have no business being in college and don't want to be there except to play football...that's just stupid!

So many critics of Dabo don't understand that guys like Sammy and Will Shipley (who graduated with a 4.0) are ultimately the legacy of CDS.
Yes, we ALL want Championships. I want more!
But at the end of the day, I don't see guys like Sammy and Will at Georgia, UofWeWish, or Alabama.
I'll take 10-3.
But I still want 16-0.
