Ended a Legends run to greatness(he was already there), hired an idiot in Hatfield, took too long to can him, hired an idiot in West, had to go 3-8 to fire him, hired a wanna be in Bowdum, and took 9.5 years to can him. Lets a relative new head coach in college football maybe convince them that we should stay in a poor conference facing an freaking ARMS RACE! If this is true, then be prepared to put a big tarp in the South upper deck(the one not facing the noon RAYCOM cameras. Our SEC brothers will laugh all the way to the bank and the big bowls, but we can look forward to sunny El Paso Texas on Dec 26th. You know what, I bet them same parents will make the trip!!!

you cover about twenty years there in a few sentences. Yes it was the same body, the BOT, but in that time frame many members have come and gone.

What you did is roughly the equivalent of ascribing some unpopular congressional decisions from years ago to todays body. I'm not happy about how the moves you mentioned worked out but I dont hold in against trustee who may have been students when those things happened

of the board and administration. But it's hard not to recognize a common theme. Since 1978, the only coach we've hired who had already proven himself at the level we want to play was Hatfield. I feel like the Ford hiring established a model that the BOT/admin won't abandon...hire an assistant or someone who has had success at a lower tier of competition and hope it turns out as well as Ford.

We had all the same BOT members through all of that, the same President, same AD....SAME, SAME, SAME! And I'm sure the BOT asked Dabo what if he wanted to go to the Big 12 and just went with whatever he said. They just let him make that big of a decision.
