What is the most attractive new building on campus?

This is not real new but newer. I give a nod to the golf clubhouse. It is different than most buildings on campus and has that low country or Augusta National feel.

The clubhouse is a typical lowcountry plantation house design. There are thousands of buildings with similar design.

I have never really seen another with the exact configuration of Augusta National's clubhouse, most don't have porches wrapping all the way around BOTH floors. But, I defer to your obviously superior knowledge. (But ONLY in this one case!)

it's similar in the fact that its a clubhouse on a golf course. Fairly standard design.
Ours has the stairs down the front. Augusta does not

I like the new Samuel J Cadden chapel. New within the last couple of years. I took these pics last year. It is between the Storm Thurmond center and the academic success center south of the library.

buildings on campus now, other than Tillman / Old Main, and Earle He!!, where I suffered the slings and arrows of Chem E classes for four years. Oh, and that big white building in the middle of campus that I stayed out of mostly, I think they called it a library?
Just for reference, the High Rises in front of Schiletter, and Schiletter itself, for that matter, were NEW when I was there. The recently demolished Student Union was not even OPENED until the middle of my time at Clemson, around 1974-75.
And we walked uphill five miles in the snow both ways to and from classes, LOL.

Nope. This replaced the Clemson House. That's sacrilege.

I agree. I lived in Clemson and worked my way thru Clemson working at the Clemson House. Had some great memories.

Can't say I concur.....I would have preferred something with some architectural details of the Clemson House.

There is no rhyme or reason to the buildings on campus. Obviously this

is an attractive building, but all of the other new building looks are extremely disappointing. And no, the campus should not look like this building, but is sits away and serves its purpose. Just look at the outside of the west end-zone for an example. What a conglomeration of mix and match. The core campus buildings are awful looking. The business college looks pretty good, but couldn't they have backed it off the street and up the hill a little? The campus is not well landscaped anywhere, surprising for an ag school with horticulture major. The buildings have no consistent theme. The dorm that overlooks the stadium is nice. The p-plant right in the spot where most of the nation sees in the background is unfortunate, as are the smokestacks. The sketches of the new vet college are not great. I grew up thinking that Clemson had one of the best looking campuses anywhere, but adult eyes see it differently. There really needs to be more put into aesthetics and landscaping. It is very basic. And the new buildings are the ones that have been the most disappointing.

will be a Nikki Haley Presidential Library on campus. Maybe not this election, but I do believe that Clemson grad will be the first female president in U.S. history. And again, although I'm a democrat, I hope, when the time comes, they do a good job in designing that center.

Correct. This is a lovely building with a lot of class. Most of the "Euro Boxes" they are building on campus are atrocious and look like Soviet style rodent boxes they scaled up to house the people. Just awful.
