We need to hang on and sweep these matches. That would give us a punchers chance for the singles... which we're generally pretty good at. They win one of these and it'd be a tall ask in the singles.

Did you notice that Patrick Cantlay refuses to wear a team cap in the matches? He does it in protest of the fact that the players aren’t paid. Actually, they do receive money to donate to their charities. Mr. Cancer and his buddy Xander also sit apart from the rest of the team in the locker room and have little interaction with the rest of the team.

I don't get that stuff if it's personal; I get and miss this.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I couldn't image Nicklaus, Watson, Trevino and so many others wanting to do anything, save gentlemanly kicking the Euros teeth in?

It’s a personal issue. He wears a team cap at the President’ Cup, but the players do receive direct compensation there.

I'd rather see him pass on the event and let someone that wants to be part of something bigger than themselves play in his stead.
Hopefully they can crawl out of this hole they've dug for themselves.
