It's the off-season...not a whole lot to talk about. With that in mind, do we see the Purple Jerseys or Pants this coming season?
Personally, Orange Jerseys / White Pants will always be far and away my favorite look. But, I kinda like the Purple Jersey / White Pants look every now and then. Considering it's been a few seasons since we've seen that look, I'm all for the team busting it out this year.
Last year, I really liked that the team wore Orange / White or all white most of the time. Both are clean, classic looks, and I think should be the dominant home / away unis. Like I said though, I don't mind a bit of purple now and then (like every other season or so).
So this year, I'm hoping we see this look for one game:

As always, I love the all purple uniforms, that's just me. But last year I really did enjoy seeing only orange and white. Almost like Dabo was trying to mimic early Clemson when they were nationally known. Just trying to keep it simple and let the "playing" do the talking and not the "purty" colors.

I love our solid orange and solid white uniforms best, but I would like to see solid purple for one big home game...preferably a night game...(Va Tech/Ga Tech???)

GT in 09? Who knew...Did you read the ENTIRE sentence? The last time we wore purple vs VIRGINIA TECH(that's what you missed) at night...I did not say the last time we wore purple, I said purple vs VT...But they did both end in a loss...

Everyone was down on us because we'd lost so badly to Georgia and struggled against Furman...then went down and beat the crap out of GT wearing purple jerseys on the road at NIGHT! Was an awesome awesome day.

I'm all for it once in awhile.
For me, I'd have the team in Orange / White for 5 home games. For 1 game, I'd have either Purple / White, Purple Jerseys / Orange Pants, or All Orange. Just rotate those alternates every so often, but the vast majority of home games should be Orange Jerseys / White Pants.
For away games, I like all White, but just do that for 4 games. For the other two have White / Orange for one game, and White / Purple for another.
This way we have alternates just 3 times a year, and the other 9 games are the traditional / classic look.
Is it wrong that I don't want to see all orange for a long time? That loss to WVA is still too fresh.

I think under Bowden we went an entire season without wearing all-orange a single game. I wouldn't mind seeing that again this year. Get the bad taste out of our mouths, and let the orange pants become special again. If they wanna wear a big game uniform, they can just bust out the purple instead.

and we also happen to be the ONLY school in the country that wears orange and purple.....there are too many orange and white and the worse orange and blue schools in the NCAA. Clemson is the only school that has that color combo and i wish we'd shove it down everyone's throat and quit the nonsense about it being ugly and feminine and all of that other BS. We're Clemson and we don't give a #### about what anyone else thinks. Orange and purple IS Clemson, period....and it happens to be nobody else.

however, our colors, our TRUE colors, and that garbage dump of a school's mascot are not on the same level to me....whatever they do, are, look like, whateverthehell, are irrelevant to me.....they are and always will be Chickens....nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe bust out the purple jerseys for a home game this year or the opener in the Georgia Dome (if we are the "home" team). I still liked the mostly traditional look last year though but I think the purple jerseys are cool. And I know some fans hate it, but I always like wondering what color combo the team will be wearing that day :P

Military Appreciation Day once a year just for the symbolism (e.g., Purple Hearts). Any more extensive usage is probably too much.
Every other combination with purple (excluding trim, obviously) is horrendous.
On a side note, I really like the fact that Dabo is accentuating traditional combinations, especially the all-white road unis.

I think people might be reading a bit much into it by saying we are going back to more "traditional" (orange and white) uniforms when Dabo said after the ACCCG that he wouldn't let them wear purple because they hadn't earned it. He said purple was a color of royalty and and that they hadn't won anything to be worthy enough to be able to wear purple.
I look forward to seeing when he lets them wear purple this year now that they've earned the right to wear it.
