Clemson OL Louis Anthony Cordileone (1956-1959) could apparently do it all. He was a truly exceptional athlete – who has even done some television work since his playing days.
Before Clemson:
According to NJ Sports Heroes:
“Louis Anthony Cordileone was born August 4, 1937 in Jersey City, A quick and powerful athlete, he was both smart and street smart, handling himself in a rough Jersey City neighborhood and in the classroom at St. Michael’s school in Union City. Lou was a power-hitting outfielder, ferocious tackler and unstoppable fullback for St. Michael’s. As a senior, he scored 20 touchdowns and converted 8 point-after attempts. Clemson’s Frank Howard was among the many college recruiters monitoring Lou’s progress. He signed the hulking teenage toa scholarship in 1956.”

Cordileone also played baseball for Clemson in 1959. He hit .250 that season in 48 at-bats. He registered 2 homeruns and 10 RBI.

After Clemson:
The NY Giants selected Lou Cordileone with the 12th Pick (1st Round) of the 1960 NFL Draft. He played one season each with the Giants (1960) and the San Francisco 49ers (1961). In 1962, Cordileone played for the Los Angeles Rams and for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also played for the Steelers in 1963 before exiting the NFL. He returned to the NFL when he joined the expansion New Orleans Saints and played in the Saints first two seasons (1967-1968).

In 2011, Lou tried out for a reality show called Forever Young, which put five people over 70 and five under 3 in the same home. He won the job and the series aired on TV Land for a year. He was so natural on camera that some suggested he should test for The Sopranos.
In 2016, Lou received the long-overdue honor of being inducted into the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame.”

Clemson WR J.J. McKelvey (2000-2002) made many great plays for Clemson. But, he will likely always be remembered most for a critical touchdown at Ga Tech – and the call from Sean McDonough.
While at Clemson:
According to Sports-Reference.com, J.J. McKelvey registered the following statistics at Clemson:

- 83 Receptions for 1,267 Yards (15.3 Average)
- 8 Receiving Touchdowns (48 points scored)
