I live with ALS and sometimes asked to give a Powerpoint presentation on my disease. I use humor to help people see me rather than my disease. I would like to share a story taken from my presentation.
"A rabid South Carolina fan passed away and, after judgement, was sent to hades. The devil looks at Bubba and asks "How do you like it here?" Bubba says "Fine, just like Columbia in June." The devil hurried away and turned the temperature up to 150 degrees and 90 % humidity. The devil asked Bubba how he liked it now? Bubba said, "Great, just like Columbia in July!" The devil went back and turned the temperature to max and 100 % humidity and went to see Bubba. The devil smirked and asked "So, how do you like it now?" Bubba wiped his brow and said " Great, just like Columbia in August!" The devil was furious and in a fit of spite turned the temperature down to minus 100. All the moisture froze and, with a smile, the devil went to see Bubba. When the devil saw Bubba he was jumping up and down screaming " Muschamp did it!! South Carolina won a National Championship!!"
I must admit the joke is not mine but transformed from a baseball story about the world series.
