Well, we made it through the death stretch (which most predicted we'd go 0-5) with a 2-3 record. Its already got me thinking what could have been this year without the bad non-conference losses. But that being said we have 13 games left, and just about all but 2 are winnable games. Obviously we won't go 11-2, but if we could at least win 7 we should be an NIT team. It would be nice to finish in the upper half of the league again. I was really optimistic about this season, however after the rough start and the fact that Rod Hall and Demarcus Harrison seemed to be carrying the team, I was starting to doubt the direction of the program. However the more I watch, the more obvious it is that the real talent on this team is in the younger players. Blossomgame and Grantham are both future stars, and I think they will continue to develop. If DeVoe, Ajukwa, and Rooks can begin to contribute, I think that this could continue to be a program on the rise. The recent recruiting seems to have brought some real talent, Brownell and staff have to keep it up
tigerfan: Agreed. Brad did a masterful job of coaching yesterday. He brought out to a small degree their zone which opened up passes into the foul line area which led to several easy baskets from 15 feet or so. Second, he had us crashing the O boards with great results and finally the idea to totally shut down Cooney was a thing of beauty. Cooney is a fine shooter when open but not able to open up shots for himself. Great job Rod Hall in particular. I certainly hope we at least get to the NIT
