Positive for covid

Three years after the pandemic was suppose to be over, I finally contracted the nasty bug. Started feeling bad on Sunday and felt like a sinus infection on Monday. By Tuesday I was couch ridden all day. Yesterday, I was back to 80% normal. Seems it is spreading quickly in our area like flu in the winter months. I normally work from home but had a workshop last week where 4-5 of us out of 20 got it. Weird that the guy I sat beside did not get it so hard to explain. Thankful it was not worse. Stay safe out there.

Like my co-workers uncle who died of a heart attack and was pronounced dead in the ambulance before he even arrived at the hospital. He had a long history of heart problems. Death certificate says he died of Covid. Right.

Jack Nicklaus mentioned he had some friends of his that had a loved one die and the hospital wanted to document Covid as the cause of death, which the family knew was not the truth. People died like they do everyday but I do believe the numbers to be inaccurate after hearing him talk about that. I knew like 2 that passed and one of them already had heart issues before he got it.
Sounds like the Feds were paying the facilities that had Covid deaths??

It's been going around in the midlands the past couple months too. I got last month for the 2nd time. The first time I had it was more like a simple head cold. This strain had me bedridden for a couple of days. Paxlovid knocked it out though.

a different strain. It sucks, but it's nowhere near as bad as the original.
The sad part is when you realize that our own government was helping fund the sloppy Chinese to do the gain of function research on the og virus that killed so many, yet few in either party in the government cares.

I just had it for the 1st time (as far as I know). It was similar to a cold with coughing, sneezing and congestion. I think I got it 2 weeks ago around August 22nd. We were on a cruise that arrived back the following day. I felt really lousy for one day and the rest of the days just a bad cold. It’s definitely making the rounds right now

Curious...were you ever vaxxed? Vaxxed and boostered? Vaxxed and triple boosted? Or no vax.

It seems the vaxxed are the only ones getting it this time around. Could it be, I don't know, natural immunity?

Got vaxxed (gov job) never got boosted. Had it twice within 6 months of the vax. Never had it again.
Who knows....

I’m not saying I agree with you or not…just curious if ‘it seems’ is the same scientifically as ‘they say’ or ‘I’m heard’?

We got it on our trip to Notre Dame in 2022. Like a bad cold and not nearly as bad as the flu. But I coughed and was short of breath from light exertion for about 5 months. Only got tested because I was working at Clemson and they were still testing employees.
We caught something on our river cruise in Europe in July of this year. Rumor on this ship was someone had tested positive but we never got tested. This time was just head congestion, some coughing and a really bad headache. The cold-like symptoms only lasted a couple of days but the headache went in for a week or 10 days.
Neither time was as bad as the flu IMO. Didn’t go to the doctor either time. It’s a virus and it just has to run its course. I would seek treatment if I got severely dehydrated or something like that but generally I avoid doctors.

I never got a bad cough when I got it, but fatigue and brain fog were no joke. Things like just going up the stairs completely winded me. It also lingered for awhile. Like I felt bad for 4 plus days, then felt remnants for like another 2+ weeks.
