Horry. I have mixed emotions about them selling out the tickets so fast. A huge portion of those tickets were purchased by "Clemson Fans" just to put them on the secondary market at absolutely ridiculous mark ups. Results in many Clemson fans of lesser means not having the opportunity to attend. It also results in many premium seats not selling and being empty during the biggest games of the regional. It really puzzles me. Clemson goes out of its way to act like they are on a level of their own in college athletics regarding family fan appreciation. But in this case it is taking profit over loyal fan.

Also the tickets to our regionals have always sold out for the most part in my recollection. I went to most during Leggetts tenure and they were packed houses. So I really don't think Clemson is profiting that much more by allowing this to go on.

Oregon St regional tix are 60% more expensive than Clemson regional.

No. Clemson should not allow IPTAY members to buy excessive amounts of tickets with the explicit purpose of reselling them with ridiculous mark ups. Of course they are turning their head the other way because it results in quick sellouts.
If you are a "Clemson Fan" that engages in this you are a POS in my book. But I suspect a good many of them are just people that signed up for IPTAY to turn an easy profit.
In case you didn't notice the president released something on this general issue with ticket scalping recently too.
It's all good for me though. I'll just sit at home with the best view in the park. And be $500 richer than a week in Clemson.
I'll tread back to maybe just as big of an issue with this. It results in blocks of unsold seats and a reduced home field advantage at DKS. Market be ######!

Exactly how is IPTAY supposed to monitor this? An interview phone call to evaluate motives before someone buys tickets? What people do after they buy tickets has zero to do with IPTAY.

Very annoying they'll still show infield or outfield seats you can add to cart.. then it just errors out and says technical error.

And probably 30%+ of those tickets were purchased for resell. If you want to go and weren't in IPTAY to purchase them when they went available, you'll be paying 2-4x face value to go. The administration needs to do something about this. I'm sure there are many a Clemson fan(some of which are young kids with heroes in the baseball team) that won't be able to afford to go.
Another huge downside of this is that many of the tickets that were the most marked up for profit don't get sold. When we played Tennessee two years ago there were huge 20 seat blocks of premium seating with nobody sitting in them. Burns me up.

I agree with your post. Those especially Clemson fans who mark up their tickets to other Clemson fans are greedy. I could not profit off other Clemson fans.

I am not a baseball season ticket holder, because I live 4 hours away. But I recall someone saying season ticket holders have an opportunity to renew their seats for the post season and even buy more. If that is the case, I’m not surprised it sold out quick. Go Tigers!
