I heard a national show actually hint at blaming Clemson for this

it was College Sports Sunday on SiriusXM. Not sure who were hosts, I think one was Barrett Sallee (sp?).
They said ACC was only major conf that did NOT have a fan court/field storming ban. And reason was because Clemson runs on field after every football game that the ACC is lax in this enforcement.

when we beat them at home in 1989. I was in the baseline bleachers that used to be in the old Littlejohn. We rushed the floor after beating Duke and I felt someone punching me in the back. I turned around into Danny Ferry...I'm 6'3" so not used to looking into someone else's chest...anyway he was shoving me to get around me. It wasn't THAT crowded and I told him to "eff off" and just walk around and stop being a pus&^% in real life like he is on the court. He didn't think it was nearly as funny as I did. Anyways...in my book Duke has a history of being a-holes when others rush the floor.
As an aside, Dale Davis and Eldon Campbell vs Christian Laettner and Danny Ferry was an awesome match-up. Davis and Campbell got them better of them inside. Dale Davis manhandled Laettner on the boards in that game.

Every time we play duke family-of has to hear the story...son-of told me that he is 16 yrs old and has heard the story 32 times (math checks out) and enough was enough

I was in high school but came with my Dad and his friend. Still the best Littlejohn atmosphere I remember, and I still remember every student yelling "PHAGGGG-ITTTTTTTT" every time Laettner touched the ball.
