The ACC can survive as a national conference

Latest news discussing the ACC adding Utah, Oregon St, and other west coast teams.
They need to go ahead and change their name and brand and begin a new marketing/rebranding campaign.
Simply updating the name from Atlantic Coast Conference to American Collegiate Conference allows them to keep their ACC acronym.

these other schools are watching how the ACC is treating FSU and Clemson through the legal process. Unless you had absolutely no other options, would you really want to be part of the $#!7show the ACC has become.

Utah is NOT, NEVER, going to join the ACC. THEY have a better deal where they are. If and when they do leave it will be to the BIG, but that is no time soon. And the BIG would have to expand to 22 plus teams.

No they don't. The new B12 contract next year without UT and OU will be 31.7 million per school split between ESPN and Fox. They got less playoff money distribution than the ACC and they have no national network. The Big 12 is now a glorified Group of 5 conference of misfits and leftovers.

How's the ACC going to be any different when Clemson and FSU leave?

I meant how is the ACC going to be any different than the current B12 once Clemson and FSU leave. The ACC without Clemson and FSU is akin to the B12 without Texas and OU.

The ACC seems to have poor judgement in adding FSU...and letting a stellar conference member live way beyond their means...Clemson and FSU need to get on the Biden program!

Utah just lived to the Big 12. Most of their natural rivals are there including Colorado, Arizona, ASU, and BYU.
Oregon State is a train wreck and would be a further financial train on the ACC.
The name change - if that's a way out by technicality fir Jenson and FSU, I'm all for it.

I would like to see the ACC try to pull in: Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Arizona St, Texas Tech, Oklahoma St, and maybe Memphis. Then go to ESPN to increase revenue

The Big12 commishner would never ever let that happen, and the ACC commish is not pro-active, he's worst than Swoffy.

And youd still have a conference full of absolutely crappy football programs that Clemson and FSU would need to get out of post haste!

Yeah, and I think there's a real chance the B12 and what's left of the ACC merge anyway.

Read an article today that listed 5 teams the BiG10 was interested and Clemson was not on the list. SEC has been rumored to not want Clemson. The BIG12 might be where we have to land

in the country. Absolutely ridiculous assumption. Probably some old turd that still thinks regional markets matter for anything of relevance in this streaming age. Derrrr we already have X team in that market. No one watches that team, but we have the market derrrrr.

Ask yourself a question...if you dare to be honest...Clemson in the SEC last 8 years playing Bama, Jawja, Auburn, Tennessee and others instead of UNC, Nancy St., Duke & WF and others we would not have been to the prom, no natties and none of you will be happy...our happy home is the ACC and where we are headed may be he**! Just remember...coming to a new conference thanks to you!

Why change their name? Big 10 has more than 10 teams, Big 12 has more than 12 teams and the Southeastern has teams not in the Southeast.

after Clemson leaves, I couldn't care any less what happens to the ACC. Terrible, self-serving, reactive, and nepotistic leadership put the league in the position that it currently finds itself. The league made its bed, now they can lay in it.

You certainly hope so...and you can't be confident about the outcomes...Dabo had a great dream and it worked...they all hated it...fixed now...Dabo didn't have a dream about buying a football team! Hope you jumpers are happy!

Just above the poverty level, relegated to serve as fodder to the far better bankrolled Big10 & SEC...continuously spinning reality and in denial; pinching every penny in an attempt to temporarily camoflouge the ever expanding revenue gap between the conferences.
