None of them are going to Clemson … 3 to Duke, 1 to Louisville, 1 to UNC

Trust in Brad. Portal King. He taught Dabo how to according to some.

I'm sure y'all think that's because of our coach, but we've NEVER had a McDonalds AA.

brad is more of a Long John Silvers type of high school recruiter and there’s usually as many patrons in Long John Silvers at lunch as there is on our roster

My mistake on missing those 5 eventual NBA all stars. I can't watch the movie Air because it POs me that Milt didn't get that Nike shoe deal.

That's cool typical. It's telling that the Brad-loving cultists like to dump on Clemson's players. They are not Clemson fans by any stretch of the imagination and have no interest in what's best for Clemson basketball. The only thing that matters is more Brad.

It's not dumping on the players to say that they are not elite. Clemson doesn't have a basketball culture to attract great players. Someday we all hope. Zion W was NEVER coming here. You can't do One and Done here with no supporting cast to allow you to make highlight reels.

It's ok. Have a top 65 Zac Foster and top 100 Chase Thompson coming in...

I bet well over 90% of the NBA players weren't McDs AA's as well.

College basketball recruiting has long been a business. More so than any other sport. (Reed into that what you will). Developing "relationships" with AAU coaches is where recruiting end roads are made in basketball. The great recruiters in basketball understand how to manipulate those relationships. The word manipulate in the previous sentence was very much intentional. It's a dirty business. It's the reason Kelvin Sampson, Rick Patino, Will Wade, and Bruce Pearl didn't stay exiled long.

I agree that basketball recruiting has become business-like. Nike, Adidas, & UnderAmour fund their own AAU circuits that funnel the so-called best players to the schools wearing their brands. The coaches you named understand how the game is played, so they play it and usually succeed. Will Wade's LSU tenure proves that the cheaters usually get caught, while Bruce Pearl and Kelvin Sampson committed violations that, if they happened in 2025, wouldn't come close to being against the rules.

We would have had zion if duke didn't pay him to go to duke.
Funny that all the other McDonald AA's came during a time that we had recruiting violations.

Just trying to figure out just how oddly they're watching it.
